Holly Jolly Santa ~ Christmas Joy Mugs ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

Hello there crafty friend!
I made a quick holiday card featuring the adorable Santa Mug from the Christmas Joy Mugs Digi Stamps along with the Christmas Joy Script Background Digi Stamp, both from Angie Blom Digital Designs.

My process:
  • Combine and resize the Santa Mug and sentiment digis near the top of a Word Document
  • Print off digis on white card stock
  • Cut off top portion of the card stock
  • Ink smoosh bottom portion of the card stock with Candied Apple and Lumberjack Plaid Distress Inks leaving some white space
  • Dry background with heat tool
  • Print off the Christmas Joy Script Background digi

  • Die cut background with the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs
  • Adhere background to white A2 top fold card base
  • Copic color Santa Mug digi
  • Fussy cut Santa Mug and trim sentiment
  • Pop up both on card with foam tape
Copic Markers Used
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
Hair/ Mustache / Beard: C0, C2, C3
Handle / Rim: R20, R14, R27

Inspiration for my card came from the fun #TCH113 color challenge over at The Color Hues Challenge. A Santa card is just perfect for these colors!

Membership Wednesday ~ Halloween Card ~ August 2024 KOM Thanks in All the Things ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a fun no-layer ink blended Halloween card featuring the cool moon and bats stamp from the August 2024 Kit of the Month membership from Unity called Thanks in All the Things. I think this is my third or fourth card using this awesome kit. It's safe to say that this has been my MOST favorite kit! I love it! I'm just bummed I didn't get to the sweet fawn or the flowers!

I started by ink blending Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink in a circular motion near the top center of my card base. And then I blended a little Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink in a circular motion around the lighter yellow. Once I was happy with that blend, I went back over the center a tiny bit more with the Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink. And then I blended Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink around the rest of the front of the card base. I blended around the yellow just a smidge with Mustard Seed to give it a nice blend with the orange.

I'm playing along with the Color Hues Challenge today! Orange and Yellow are so perfect for a Halloween card! This fun challenge is open until August 29th, if you want to play along!

I probably should have dried the oxide ink, but I was already late making dinner so I just decided to go for it! I stamped the moon and bat stamp and the sentiment with Black Amalgam ink. I did use an acetate grid to double check my placement for the bats and the sentiment. I quick cut two post-it notes to place over the bats and sentiment and then I went a little nuts with the black acrylic paint splatters.

That was it! A super quick Halloween card... I think it took me 10 minutes tops! AND I still had dinner ready by 6pm. LOL!

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership! LOVE it SO MUCH!!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!
Hope you have an inkredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Membership Wednesday ~ September 2023 BOM Off the Grid ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a fun card using the cool September 2023 Background of the Month membership from Unity called Off the Grid. I had a fun idea for a background only using a portion of the stamp.

I stamped a piece of white card stock using Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions. I applied Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe and melted it with my heat tool.

Then came the fun part... I ink smooshed some Candy Apple and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks. I also blended some of the inks to fill in the background.

I die cut the background using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies, also from Unity. I dried the background completely, added some white acrylic paint splatters, and then adhered it to a white A2 top fold card base.

I stamped the beautiful Zinnia on a scrap of white card stock really only focusing on the one flower. I didn't want the whole cluster for my card so the grid background would show. I colored up the zinnia with just a few purple Copic markers: V0000, V000, V12, V17. I didn't want it very dark so it would pop on the background. I stamped the 'hello' sentiment from the September 2023 Kit of the Month called Harvest Hues. Love the distressed look of the sentiment. The flower is fussy cut and I colored up the edges using a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to make it all nice and neat. I also fussy cut the sentiment but I left the edges white. Both are popped up on the card with foam tape.

Here's a quick look at the Background of the Month membership this month! So fun! This membership is available for only $18.99. That includes shipping! Included with both of these memberships is a wonderful inspiration sheet with pictures and step-by-step instructions for two cards so you can easily recreate the cards yourself. And now when you sign up you have the ability to pause, skip or cancel your subscription within your Unity account.

I'm playing along with the Color Hues Challenge #72: Purple & Red

Well, that's it for me today! I'll be back in two weeks with inspiration for one of the fab October memberships. Just not sure at this point which one I want to play with first. {Be warned... they are ALL amazing!!} Until then, have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
