~ Friends of Unity June 2025 Blog Hop ~

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for our Friends of Unity Blog Hop!! This month's cue is the only one that we do annually! I love seeing all of the inspiration for this cue!

This month's cue is MASCULINE! I don't know about you but sometimes I really struggle with making masculine cards. But for this hop I made a couple cute cards that I think have a masculine flair.

First up a fun Dad day card I made using the super fun Dad Mode Grumpy Bunny. I LOVE this bunny! He is just too cute. And the sentiment is funny.

I stamped the bunny and sentiment with Black Amalgam ink. I colored the bunny with Copic markers and then I die cut the bunny with a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I trimmed up the sentiment and popped them both up on the card with foam tape.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Bunny: C0, C2, C3, R00, R20
Eyes: C0, C2, R00
Robe: E11, E25, YG95, G99
Ground: C2, C3

I went with a simple but fun design. I cut some of my precious Basic Grey stash... **YIKES** I know! But I have so much and it's just sitting there collecting dust. Why not put it to good use?! These are the Archaic papers. SO perfect for a masculine card! I cut a triangle from this fun striped designed paper and adhered it over another pattern paper from the pad. I then cut 1/8" strips of black card stock and adhered those on either side of the triangle for a faux mat. I thought that would be WAY easier than trying to cut a triangle mat.

Next up is a cute Father's Day card featuring the adorable Turtley stamp. Such a super cute stamp! I love it! This one was so much fun to color too! The sentiment is from the Best Tool in the Box stamps. Another great stamp kit for Father's Day cards.

I colored up the turtle with some Copic markers and then I die cut the panel with a die from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Turtle: YG21, BG000, YG11
Shell: YG21, BG000, YG11, E21, E23, E29
Ground: YG11, G94
Sky: BG000
Flowers: Y11, YR23, YR15, YG11, G94

I used the same paper pack for this one as the bunny card... the Archaic paper pad from Basic Grey. The shapes and colors in these papers just scream MASCULINE!! Anywho, I used a past {BYSHC} sketch for my design. Having all these sketches in my arsenal sure makes the card designing easy peasy. I die cut the paper under the turtle using the next size up. I finished off the card by popping up the turtle and the sentiment. I think my husband will like this one or maybe I'll give him the other one. Not sure.

Now before we get to the hopping, I chose a lucky winner from the comments on last month's hop to win a fun prize and the lucky winner is...

Anya in India ~ Preview Day 2 ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's Day 2 of previews at The Greeting Farm for the April release. I am just smitten with the fabulous Anya in India! She is just too cute. And there are so many coordinating stamps included in the set.

I made a fun Fun Fold card with almost all of the stamps in the Anya in India stamp set. So much fun!

I stamped all the images with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them up with Copic Markers. I used a bunch of markers so the list is a bit long this time:
Skin: E00, E11, E04, R00, R20
Hair: E43, E44, E47, E49
Earrings: Y11, Y15, RV10, RV04, BG10, BG72
Outfit: RV10, RV04, BG10, BG72
Candle: E30, E31, Y11, Y15, YR23, BG10, BG72, RV10, RV04
Taj Mahal: W00, W1, W2
Lotus Flower: RV10, RV04
Small Flowers: Y11, Y15, RV10, RV04, YG11, YG17
Food: C00, C2, E30, E31, YR23, YR04, YG11, YG17, E71
Food Tray / Bowls: BG10, BG72, N0, N2, N4
Elephant: N0, N2, N4, R00, R20
Elephant's Accessories: Y11, Y15, R20, R32, BG10, BG72

I used some precious Basic Grey pattern papers from my stash. These are from the Two Scoops paper pad. I thought the fun patterns worked well with the theme.

Here's a view of the card opened. I used the Fancy Ornaments Infinity Dies from Hero Arts for the focal panels.

The elephant is just the cutest! I added a cute little flower too.

I adhered the layers to a Kraft A2 card base that was scored at 2-1/8" and 4-1/4". To finish off the card, I heat embossed the sentiment on Kraft with white pigment ink and white embossing powder for a bright white sentiment. This card was so much fun to make! Be sure to stop by the TGF blog to see all the makes from the design team. The release goes live in the store on the 15th at 12am EST.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

It's Me Time ~ Build-A-Craft Room ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a fun A7 scene card!

I've just been itching to play with some digi stamps and the Build-a-Craft Room digi stamps are my absolute favorite. I thought it would be fun to create a little scene card but I didn't want to go too little so I ended up making an A7 card that measures 10 x 7" as the base and it's folded into a 5 x 7" card.

I combined and resized a bunch of fun digis from the Build-a-Craft Room digi set in a Word Document. I also added one of the sweet girls from the 2020 Girls digi set. I printed off a draft print on copy paper - it's a feature on my printer that doesn't use much ink. Printing this off gives me an idea of how large the image is. That's when I decided I'd go with an A7 card. I then printed it off on white card stock and got to coloring with Copic markers. I'm not going to list every image because there's a lot and the colors are repetitive, but here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin: E000, E00, E21
Hair: E70, E71, E74
Shirt: RV10, RV02, RV14, V000, V12, V15
Boots:V000, V12, V15
Cat: R00, R20, N2, N4, YR21, YR15, C00
Desk / Shelves: C00, C2, BG10, BG01, BG13
Cart: RV10, RV02, RV14
Sign: RV10, RV02, RV14, V000, V12, V15, YG11, YG03
Marker Storage: E30, E33
Markers: random BGs, YRs and Rs

Every craft room needs a kitty {or pup} so I stamped the adorable cat from the Miss Anya Amazing stamp set. I colored her up using Copics and then I fussy cut her on the line. I did leave some white around her whiskers. And then I cleaned up my fussy cutting by coloring the black edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I die cut my panel using a die from the A7 Layers Dies from Waffle Flower and then colored up my floor. BUT I didn't like how it turned out so I paper pieced my floor using a fun pink pattern paper called Two Scoops from Basic Grey. How fun to have a pink floor! I love it! I secured my pink pattern paper to a piece of white card stock using washi tape and printed the image again. I was then able to cut away everything and make a nice clean floor. I trimmed a pretty turquoise mat and adhered my layers to a black A7 card base.

To finish up the card, I stamped a sentiment from the Hello Gorgeous stamp set. The perfect sentiment for this one! My crafty time is definitely me time. Unfortunately, it looks like both stamp sets I used are no longer available but you can check out the Farmers Market and submit a request via email and maybe they'll be available for the next Farmers Market. I had so much fun making this card. I hope I've inspired you to get inky!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Membership Wednesday ~ June 2023 Uniquely Unity A Tapestry of Stories ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a pretty simple vintage style card using the lovely stamp from the wonderful June 2023 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity called A Tapestry of Stories. I just love this stamp!! My dad had a red bug when I was kid and I've always had a fondness for them. I couldn't wait to color up this one!

So, I had a color scheme in mind for coloring the bug and luggage but I didn't pick out my papers until afterwards... phew! That was a bit of a task looking through my papers after coloring, but I found my stash of Basic Grey papers and Oh. My. Gosh. Not only did I fall in love with these papers once again, I found the perfect papers to pair up with my coloring of the bug!! Woohoo! I used the Blush paper pad which has a bit of a vintage vibe to it. But really don't they all?!

I went with a classic card design with two pattern papers for my background. The stripes and the flower dots contrast each other so nicely and the colors are so perfect. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers that I used to color up the bug and luggage:

VW Bug ~ R20, R17, R27, C00, C1, N0, N2, N4
Luggage ~ BG70, BG72, V20, V22, V28, E70, E74, E77
Ground ~ N0, N2

I die cut the colored panel with the largest stitched die from the Scallops & Rectangle {nesting dies}. It was a very bright white which looked okay but doesn't really go with a vintage card so I distressed the edges just a bit with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen Distress Oxide inks. A mix of both of those colors gave me just the right tone of brown to work with the pattern paper. I wanted to add a little something to the empty corners so I wrapped them with a couple scraps of {Natural} May Arts Burlap String and secured them behind the panel with some scotch tape. I then covered the back of the panel with foam tape and popped up the panel on my pattern paper card front. The card front was then adhered to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11", scored at 5-1/2".

That's it for me today! I'll be back next week with inspiration for the June 2023 Whit Kit! I know I say this just about every month, but have you seen this month's card kit?! I LOVE it!! I'm so excited to play! I hope you'll give me a visit and check out what I share! Until then have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Unity Stamp Company ~ Planner Gal: Thinking About Wine... or Tea?!

Hello crafty friends!
Today, I have a few cards to share using the beautiful new Planner Gal: Thinking About Wine kit... this kit is the current freebie with a $75+ order at Unity Stamp Company. I had so much
fun coloring her up that I just couldn't seem to stop making cards!!

My first card using some of my precious hoard of Basic Grey papers Perhaps... I can't believe I cut into these!! But I sure love how this card turned out! I used the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Stackables by Lawn Fawn. I used the following Copic markers:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Hair ~ E55, E57, E59
Clothes ~ V91, V93, V95, N0, N1
Wine Glass/Bottle ~ RV91, RV95, R12, YR00, N0, N1

For this card, I used the Stampin' Up! Painted with Love Specialty DSP. I die cut the background piece with a stitched rectangle die and the hearts paper with the Memory Box Wrapped Scalloped Rectangles die. I popped up the main focal panel and adhered the fussy cut girl directly on the paper.
I used the following Copic markers for this card:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Hair ~ Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18
Clothes ~ R12, R22, N0, N1
Watch - BG23, N1

For my last card, I used the same SU! papers as the second card and the same dies as the first card. I adhered my layers on a Kraft card base, popping up the center scalloped panel using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from Beau-Tea-Ful Friend onto Kraft card stock using VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed a fine white embossing powder.

I fussy cut the image and popped it up on the card using dimensionals. I colored in the tea mug from the recently released Hot Mess {border backgrounds} and fussy cut it out.
I used the following Copic markers for this card:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Hair ~ Y21, YR12, YR14, E15
Clothes ~ N0, N1, BG11, BG23
Tea Mug ~ Y06, YR15, YR21

For my last touch on this card, I added a few little pearls from Little Things from Lucy's Cards ~ Crystal Collection ~ Harmony Sparkly Shaker Mix.

I love how these three cards turned out! Such a fun kit to play with!

Thanks for checking out my blog post!
See ya next time.
