Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Christmas Blessings Angels ~ RAM Stamps

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my last card for the Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party! It's also my last card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 44. My card for today features a mix of products from a couple of our wonderful Linky Party Sponsors.

I just LOVE the adorable angels from the Christmas Blessings Angels from our lovely Sponsor Rachelle Anne Miller Stamps also known as RAM Stamps. These cuties are also in a bundle called Happy Holidays Christmas Digital Stamp Set along with three more adorable digi stamps. Anyone else love the instant gratification of purchasing digi stamps?! I definitely do! I love buying a digi stamp, combining it with others in a Word Document and then printing it off. Then I can head on up to my studio and play! So easy!

I paired up the beautiful Christmas Blessings Angels with papers that I got last year from Hobby Lobby called Star of Bethlehem. These are large papers - I believe they measure 8-1/2 x 11". I die cut them using a die from the Frayed Edge Stacklets from our wonderful Sponsor Taylored Expressions

Here's a look at this month's Sketch 44. There's still some time to play along with the sketch!! Entries must be submitted prior to April 30th at 11:59pm PST. And if you play along with the Spring into Christmas {BYSHC} Linky Party and use this sketch be sure to get your card entered today before 11:59pm PST!

I adhered the pretty paper to a white A2 top fold card turned on it's side using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from our wonderful Sponsor Therm O Web. I fussy cut the angels leaving a white border around them. I added a bunch of 3D Foam Squares from our wonderful Sponsor Therm O Web and popped the angels up on the card. I finished off the card by adding a few Translucent Enamel Dots from our awesome Sponsor Gina Marie Designs.

I have had SO much fun playing along with the Spring into Christmas 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party! I hope that you've been inspired to make a few Christmas cards to relieve some of the holiday stress. I know that I am feeling great about all the cards I made. Thank you ALL so much for stopping by my blog and commenting on my cards. I've truly enjoyed each of the comments. And I hope that you'll stop by the Linky Party and check out the cards that have been linked up. Lots of fabulous inspiration!! And if you have a bit of time today you could still enter into the Linky Party... it ends at 11:59pm PST tonight. Have an ink-tastic day!

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 36 ~ Christmas Peace ~ RAM Stamps

  Hello there crafty friend!
I'm sharing another Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 36 for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. This time I played with a fun digi stamp from RAM Stamps called Christmas Peace Digital Stamp. Also available in the Christmas Sentiments Digital Stamp Set along with three other adorable digital stamps.

I paired up the sweet Christmas Peace Digital Stamp with the Pumpkin Marshmallow Slimline Paper Pad from Not 2 Shabby. I just love pink for Christmas! I remembered there were some really pretty pink papers in this paper pad which also gave me the idea to go with a mini slimline design using this month's sketch.

The digi stamp was inserted into a Microsoft Word Document where I adjusted the size of the image to make it small enough to work for this sketch. I printed it off and colored it up with my Copic markers. Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up the digi stamp:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ Y11, Y21, Y26
Wings / Dress ~ R000, R11, R21
Star ~ Y11, Y15
PEACE ~ R00, R11, R21
Outline ~ C00, C1

I die cut my pattern papers and adhered them all on the mini slimline card front of pink pattern paper. I die cut the pink glitter pattern paper with the scalloped frame die in the Framework Die Set from Newton's Nook Designs. Adhered it over the colored panel and then trimmed away the excess paper from the edges. I then trimmed off the left side because it just didn't look right with the scallops on that side.

Here's another look at the {BYSHC} Sketch 36 for this month's challenge. It sure was fun to alter the sketch to work with a mini slimline card design. I sure hope you'll join us and play along with the sketch challenge... there's still lots of time to play!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,

Christmas in July 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Blessed Angel with Unique Flakes ~ Angie Blom Digital Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my sixth card for the Christmas in July 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party! My card today features a mix of products from just two of our linky party Sponsors. I used two stunning digital stamps from our return Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs. Blessed Angel and Unique Flakes... SO gorgeous! And even more so together! I also used the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co.

I absolutely LOVE blues with snowflakes! I ink smooshed a half sheet of card stock measuring 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" using Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks leaving some white on the sheet. I dried my ink smooshed card panel completely with my heat tool and then ran it through my printer printing off the gorgeous Unique Flakes digi stamp. While I was ink smooshing the half sheet I also ink smooshed a piece of Distress Watercolor Paper from Tim Holtz. I die cut my snowflake background using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies from Unity. I added a bit of sparkle to the background by splattering some Liquid Pixie Dust from Inkon3. I dried the background again and then I adhered my snowflake background to the watercolor ink smooshed background.

I adore this gorgeous angel digi stamp called Blessed Angel. It's one of my favorites for Christmas. In fact, I used it last year for a pretty mini slimline card and I still had the Word Document saved in my files so I printed her off again for this card. Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair ~ E95, E97, E19
Flowers ~ B0000, B02, B04, B34, B37
Leaves ~ YG11, G24
Dress ~ C00, C1, C3

I fussy cut the angel leaving a bit of a white border and I trimmed the sentiment. I then adhered them together and added a bunch of 3D Foam Squares from Sponsor Therm O Web. I then removed the backing and popped the angel and sentiment up on the card. Love the dimension that it gives the card! I finished off the card by adding a few water droplet beads from the July 2023 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Co.

Be sure to stop by Angie Blom Digital Designs and check out all the awesome Christmas digital stamps on sale 40% OFF - no code required. Woohoo!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Christmas in July 2023 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #6 ~ A Time of Peace ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another Christmas card using the {BYSHC} Sketch #6... sharing my last card for the January sketch challenge. There's only a couple more days to play along! My card today features the adorable A Time of Peace stamp set from Unity. I paired this stamp set up with the Echo Park's Wise Men Still Seek Him papers and the light blue paper is from the Carta Bella Santa's Workshop papers.

I had set aside a stack of Christmas stamps that I wanted to make cards with way back in November but I never got around to creating cards with those stamps so since I've made the goal of creating a Christmas card a week... I've been able to pull those stamps from that stack and this adorable A Time of Peace stamp was in that stack. So glad I was able to finally ink it up!

I stamped the sweet angel and sheep with VersaFine Onyx black ink on Canson XL 140lb watercolor paper and used ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers to color it in. I die cut the watercolored image with a stitched rectangle die and decided not to mat it. I die cut a few stitched fishtail flags from the two paper packs with the Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX dies from My Favorite Things. I like how the mix of papers look on the side. I added some scrap papers behind the focal image so it was adhered level on the card. I masked the sentiment and stamped it so I could die cut it with a circle die and popped it up on the card with foam tape.

As I mentioned above there's only a couple more days to play along with the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #6 so be sure to join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group and check out the challenge!! We'd love to have you join us in the fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

~ Friends of Unity September Blog Hop ~

Hello! It's time for another Friends of Unity Blog Hop!! Woohoo! I love hopping with my friends!

Before I get any further into my post, we have two new friends hopping with us and I want to officially welcome Kim Klinkovsky and Bobbie Sue McConathy to our hop! Kim has been a sweet supporter of our little hop since we started. She is a fellow lover... AKA... addict of Unity stamps, she has a fabulous blog filled with inspiration - including some really awesome jewelry! And Bobbie Sue has also been a huge supporter of our hop. She just recently started her blog and I was just waiting for an opportunity to invite her to join us. She's a sweet soul and a fabulous cardmaker with so much talent! We are super happy to have both of these wonderful friends join our team!
So please give Kim and Bobbie Sue a huge welcome!

Now let's get back to it... our cue for this month's Friends of Unity blog hop is Wings. We kept the cue simple because it can be used with so many different images... angels, butterflies, birds, dragonflies, etc... that way we had a larger scope of stamps to use which sometimes can make it hard to decide what exactly you want to do. LOL! So instead of just choosing one stamp set to play with, I chose two different sets.

The first set I chose to work with was an easy pick, I bought this Suzi Blu set called Serenity Angel a while back wanting to use it for a card for my niece but the idea, and sadly, the set got pushed aside for other things. So I was really happy to finally get to use this set for this card.

I recently got my hands on some new alcohol inks and I thought it would be fun to work with a rainbow theme. I had already made a background using Wild Plum, Raspberry, Turquoise, and Stream alcohol inks on Yupo white heavystock and I thought it would be perfect for the angel's wings. I stamped the angel on the Yupo and fussy cut the wings out. I stamped her again on white card stock with Amalgam ink and colored her in with Copic markers (listed below). I used my Scan n Cut to cut the angel image out and adhered the wings to the image. I added touches of silver gel pen on the wings and on her outfit. And I also added some clear wink of stella to her hair and the bottom portion of her dress (behind the flowers). I set the angel aside and created my background piece using Poppyfield, Valencia, Sunshine Yellow, and Limeade alcohol inks on Yupo white cardstock. Using the Tim Holtz Rays Stencil, I rubbed some Alcohol Lift Ink over that stencil and rubbed it with a paper towel to get the sun rays on the background. I am loving the new Alcohol Lift Ink!!! So fun to play with! I die cut the piece using the Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle Frames die from Poppy Stamps. I also die cut a piece of True Black card stock using the same die. I adhered the black and rainbow pieces to a scrap piece of white cardstock because I planned to pop the whole piece up on the Amethyst Allure card base.

{Copic markers used on this card ~ BV000, BV04, BV11, E0000, E00, E21, R000, R17, R20, N5, N7, YR01, YR68, Y06, Y17, Y35, YG03, YG23, B00}

Once I had that part done... I thought the background needed something else. I pulled out my Tim Holtz Mixed Media #2 dies... now at first I thought I would use the die with the flowers, but then I saw the negative pieces of the die sitting on my desk and thought they would be cool on the background and so that's what I did. That was no easy task because there were a lot of small pieces but I placed the die cut wrong side up on a piece of Press n Seal (that stuff in your kitchen to cover your leftovers - it's sticky and perfect for this!) and put all the little pieces on there like I was doing a puzzle. Once I had it filled back in, I added liquid glue to the pieces I wanted on my background and flipped it over and adhered them. Some didn't stick but it was easy to use the die cut as my guide to get the pieces in there. Then I popped up the angel on the card with dimensionals, added a few Peacock Feather jewels from Little Things from Lucy's Cards, and stamped and adhered the sentiment from the set.

Here's a closer look at the angel... I tried to capture some of the glitter in her hair. Not easy to do! But take my word for it... it's there!!

On to my second card... so you remember the black die cut from the first card... well, it was just sitting on my desk next to the left over scallop rainbow piece and they wanted to play too. So... I decided to make a Leftover card! Do you ever do that? It can be a bit of a challenge to use up those leftover pieces but this card came together pretty quickly and I have to say... I Love It!!

I masked off my white card base using microfiber tape. You could use washi or purple tape... even post it notes. Anyhow, I masked it off with about a 1/4" border. I knew I wanted to blend some red and yellow ink behind the die cut so I grabbed my brand new Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed Distress Oxide inks... so excited to have these in my collection... and blended them in that bottom right corner. I blended a little and then placed the die cut there to see that I was in the right spot and then I'd blend some more. Once I had that section done, I grabbed the Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide inks and blended the rest of the masked off area. Using the Ranger Anti-Static Pouch, I covered the distress oxide background and then stamped the sentiment with VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed ultra fine white embossing powder. I pulled off the microfiber tape and adhered my scalloped frame to the black die cut piece and then adhered them to the white card base.

I set that aside and got to work on my dragonfly. Do you recognize those wings?!?! I stamped the dragonfly from the Dreams Take You itty bitty set with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink onto my background that was leftover from the angels wings. I stamped the dragonfly again on white card stock, adhered the fussy cut wings, and fussy cut the whole dragonfly out. I bent the wings up a bit for dimension on the card and adhered just the head and thorax of the dragonfly. And then I spotted the Peacock Feather jewels that were still on my desk and decided this dragonfly needed some bling!! This might just be my favorite Leftover card ever!!

One or two of our friends are having giveaways on their blogs for this month's hop so be sure to hop and comment on each of our blogs so you'll be entered into this giveaway. We sure appreciate and love all of your fun comments!

Now let's get hopping!

Papertrey Ink Stripes Challenge ~ Christmas lives in the Heart

Hello! Today I'm sharing my last entry for the Papertrey Ink 11th Anniversary Celebration Challenges. This one is for the Stripes Challenge. I decided to use up some of the beautiful stripe Christmas paper that I bought last year during the huge sale.

Once I designed my card, I thought... why not make a few? So, I ended up making half a dozen. I really love the way they turned out. I started by cutting all of my card stock from card bases to layers. I don't usually do this but I thought it would make sense since I planned on doing multiples.

I then stamped the angels by using two ink pads, Aqua Mist and Ripe Avocado. I masked the angel and stamped the wings with Aqua Mist. I stamped the stars using Harvest Gold... and then decided to stamp over that with Lemon Tart and it brightened the yellow a bit. I stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I was going to doodle some strings for the stars hanging down, but I decided to add some gold twine. I punched some 1/8" holes at the top of the stars. I pulled through some gold twine and taped them to the back of the circle. I then tied a bunch of little bows and adhered them using Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

I adhered all my layers on each of the cards. I did pop up the circle pieces and the little hearts. I had a lot of fun making these and I think they turned out pretty cute!

Here are the products I used for this card:
Stamps: Love Lives Here: Holiday
Inks: Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado, Harvest Gold, Lemon Tart, Pure Poppy, Memento Tuxedo black
Card Stock: Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado, Pure Poppy, White, Candy Cane Prints paper
Tools: Mini Misti, Spellbinders Circle & Scallop dies, 1/8" circle punch
Miscellaneous: gold twine

See ya next time.
