Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 34 ~ Vintage Artistry Countryside ~ 49 and Market

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing some inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 34 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. Absolutely no stamping or coloring for this card!

I used papers from the Vintage Artistry Countryside 12 x 12 Collection from 49 and Market.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 34. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it.

And the cluster of ephemera is from the coordinating Vintage Artistry Countryside Ephemera Bits pack.

I adhered the ephemera pieces together and popped up the tag on the card. I also popped up the bee with foam tape. I added some wrinkled ribbon from my stash and finished off the card with a sentiment from the ephemera pack. I'm having a blast with this sketch! I hope you can find time to play along. Have an ink-tastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal

Inky Paws Challenge #240 ~ Sketch Challenge {Week 4}

Hello there crafty friend!
There's just a few more days to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #240 - Sketch Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, May 30th to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

This has been such a fun sketch! I hope you have a chance to play along with us if you haven't already! There's just a few days left to play!

For my last card for this sketch challenge, I pulled out the Heartfelt Honeycomb Stamp Set. I stamped all of the bees and the drips of honey using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. And then I colored them up with Copic markers. I die cut each of the colored images using the coordinating dies from the Heartfelt Honeycomb Die Set.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used: Y11, Y15, Y38, BG10, BG01.

I ink smooshed my background using Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks leaving a lot of white space. I also stamped the background partially with the hexagon heart from the Heartfelt Honeycomb Stamp Set.  I spattered the ink smooshed background using black acrylic paint that was thinned with a spritz of water. I die cut the center of the panel using the frame die from the Framework Die Set. I also die cut a piece of black card stock using the same die. That gave me the scalloped frame that it in the center of the card. I used the scalloped and stitched die from that same die set to die cut just the edge of a scrap of black card stock. I trimmed that piece to 2" wide and that's the piece that runs across the card.

I ink smooshed a scrap of white card stock and die cut it using a die from the Hexagon Frames Die Set. I decided to mat that piece because it was just getting lost in the background. So I die cut a scrap of black card stock using the same hexagon die. I trimmed off the edges of the ink smooshed hexagon so that it would fit just inside of the stitches on the black hexagon. I adhered all of the layers and popped up the bee on the hexagon and the sentiment using foam tape.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the fun sketch. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
