Today I'm sharing a couple of cute cards using the new adorable Summer Floaties set by Scrapping for Less along with the July Sketch Challenge for my inspiration!! Have you checked out this adorable new stamp set yet?
I just adore these girls!!! So fun! I had a blast coloring them too... but sadly, I goofed and forgot to hit the record button so I don't have a video for the flamingo girl, BUT I do have a video for the donut girl!! You can check that out below.
I'm also loving these fun Summer Floaties papers!! They have really made for great backgrounds in my cards with this set!
Isn't she just the cutest?! Love that flamingo floatie too!!
I felt totally defeated when I realized I forgot to record the coloring, but I picked myself up and redid the donut girl coloring... why her? Well, honestly... the pink in the donut didn't quite work so I took the opportunity to try a different combo for that! Win! Win!
Both girls were fussy cut and then I cleaned up the edges with my Memento Tuxedo black marker. I recently got the Cloudy Frames dies by Pink & Main and I thought I'd change up my second card by using that for the sentiment. I think it turned out pretty cute!
You can check out my process video here...
And you can check out my Copic coloring of the donut girl here...
I'd love to invite you to come and check out the July Sketch Challenge in the Scrapping for Less: Show & Share Facebook Group. We'd love to have you play along!
Today I'm sharing a super fun new release from Scrapping for Less... Summer Floaties stamp set and paper pad!! Oh my cuteness... this is such an adorable set and the papers coordinate perfectly!!
So... I've been on a bit of a Slimline kick! Lol... have you tried making one yet?! They are so fun!
I love that extra bit of space to create with! I used a fun sketch from over at the Poetic Artistry blog, the current Mojo Monday #540 sketch challenge. I did make my slimline card a little bigger than the one posted for the sketch... this one is the trendy size that measures 3-1/2 x 8-1/2".
Isn't she just the cutest?!
I had so much fun coloring her in this sweet little scene. I used the following Copic markers:
First of all, Happy 4th of July!!! I hope that you all have a wonderful celebration!!
Now, let's get to some crafty fun with the Friends of Unity hop!! Today we are doing something fun and we're sharing inspiration using the Paper Piecing Technique!!!
Usually when I hear the words paper piecing I think of paper dolls... basically it's the same thing as paper dolls. We're dressing them up in cute patterned paper! But for this hop, I wanted to do something a little different!
What do you think? Hee hee!!
I love these cute cow with polka dots! This sweet cow is from the Sassy Bessie kit and I used two paper packs for this one... the red bandanna paper is from the Down on the Farm paper pack and the black with white polka dots is from the Kraft in Color - Color paper pack, both by Doodlebug Design.
I colored up the scene with the following Copic markers:
I adhered all of my layers to a True Black card front and then adhered the entire panel to a white top-fold A2 card base. I just love how this card turned out!
I decided to paper piece an entire scene for this one using dies for the background and the sweet birds from the I'm Obsessed Birdies kit. In retrospect, I think it needs a sun... or maybe clouds. I may still add those but I was running out of time and just had to call it done.
All of the papers for this one are from the Hoppy Easter paper pad by Doodlebug Design.
I did add a bit of Copic coloring to the birds with the following markers ~ YR15, YR16, R21, R32, V15, V25. I adhered all of the paper layers together and then adhered them to a white top-fold A2 card base. The tips of the grass are not glued down to I can give the card a little dimension.
And my last card is a Christmas card!! Yes, one Christmas card done for the stash! Whoohoo!!
I've been waiting very patiently for Gina Marie Design to come out with her slimline dies and they are in and mine came just in time for me to make this card!! I used the No Frills Plain Slim Line die for my base piece. I die cut that from Kraft card stock. I then adhered the grey snowflake and green with white polka dots paper to the Kraft card stock and distressed the edges. I wrapped the panel with two pieces of May Arts Burlap Natural String and tied a double bow.
I then die cut a Scalloped Stitched Slim Line from white card stock and adhered it to a Kraft slim line card base measuring 3-1/2 x 8-1/2". I then popped up the focal panel with foam tape and set it aside.
I stamped the beautiful Arianna Girl kit with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her up with the following Copic markers:
Skin ~ E0000, E000, E01, E11
Hair ~ E50, E51, E53, E55
Halo ~ YG11, G24, G46
Flowers ~ YG11, G24, R0000, R14, R46
The paper I used to paper piece Arianna Girl is The Holiday Collection by Avery Elle. There's an assortment of Holiday themed papers in this pack but I decided to go with the softer palette of colors. It looks so beautiful with the kraft! To finish off this card, I added a few sequins that I received with my KOM last month. I'm so excited to have a Christmas card done for my stash!
Be sure to hop along and check out all the creations we have to share with you... I'll be picking a winner from the comments for a fun grab bag prize!
As always, thank you SO MUCH for hopping along with us and commenting!
Today I'm sharing a cute card using the Picnic Time Collection from the June 2020 A Walk in the Park card kit! I shared my card for the new July Sketch Challenge just a couple of days ago and I got to thinking that when you cut your papers for this sketch you're left with such angled pieces. I thought maybe it would be fun to share a card using those leftovers. I decided to use the leftover pieces from my card that I shared during the reveal and hop. You can check out that card here... Picnic Time Collection card.
And here is what I came up with for those leftover pieces. Speaking of leftover pieces... I know that this card kit has sold out, but this paper pack is still available separately ---> Picnic Time paper pack!
I think it turned out pretty cute! What do you think?
And I finally got a chance to ink up that cute ant stamp! He was so much fun to color!
I actually have two videos to share for this card...
The first video is the Copic coloring of the sweet Picnic Time Ant!
And the second video is the fussy cutting and assembling of the card. I thought I'd split these up so they'd be shorter and maybe if you're more interested in the coloring you can watch that or if you'd rather just see the fussy cutting and assembling, you can check that out!

Let's check out Sketch Challenge #6...
What do you think? Another fun sketch challenge!! I can't wait to see what you all create!!
A super easy and quick card for this sketch! I can't get enough of the ephemera pieces in Collection One... I just had to make one more card using the cute pink lemonade ephemera.
The sentiment is from Collection Three: Pond Life. I thought it was perfect to pair up with the pink lemonade... I'd love to drink a pink lemonade on the patio and just relax and breathe.
Sounds wonderful!!
Here's a little process video for this card.
This challenge will run from today, July 1st and will end July 31st at 11:59pm EST. The winner will be announced on Saturday, August 1st in the challenge album. Please use #sflsketchchallenge6 in any social media posts when playing along with the challenge.

Welcome to the June 2020 Flavor of the Month Card Kit reveal and hop with the Scrapping for Less Design Team and guests!! If you're just starting hopping, we're so glad to have you join us!!
Isn't that just the cutest kit EVER?! I mean those ants!! And the monkeys!! And I am a tad bit partial to the Pond Life set that I created to be a scene builder set... I love all the elements in that collection!! They pair so perfectly with the new Grass and Cloud Stencil in the Banana Split subscription!!
Well, enough chatter from me... lol... let's check out the cards I created and get to hopping!
Collection One: Picnic Time
So... back to what I said a minute ago about these ants! The cutest ants ever!! Am I right?! And I didn't even ink up the ants in the stamp set yet... but I can't wait to! I used the sketch for our July 2020 Sketch challenge that will begin in just a few days. I hope that you'll stop by the Scrapping for Less: Show & Share Facebook group and check out our challenges... so much fun!
My second card is a 5" square card featuring the adorable monkeys from the Let's Hang Out stamp set. I had fun coloring up a simple scene for these monkeys to play in. I even used the Nuvo drops from the Banana Split subscription to make a couple of flowers.
My third card features the sweet scene building set that I had the privilege to design!! So many possibilities with this stamp set and the papers in this collection are gorgeous!! Such an amazing mix of colors and designs!! I love them!!
I also have a process video for this card sharing my coloring and assembling of this card. You can check it out here...
Collection Four: On the Playground
And my fourth card using the On the Playground stamp set and papers... how cute is that slide?! I know... I keep gushing with each collection! I can't help myself. Teresa has seriously knocked this kit out of the park! It's awesome!!
Hello there crafty friend!

Of course, there's also lots of embellishments... including the adorable Picnic Time ephemera that I used for my card today!
Isn't that ant just the cutest?! I love how it's just chilling out on the watermelon... so fun!
I used the wonderful Mojo Monday sketch #539 for my card from the Poetic Artistry blog... I love Julee's sketches!! There's a couple more days to play along if you'd like to check it out.
I have more information about my card and the products I used on my process video. You can check out my Sneak Peek video here...
