Unity Stamp Company ~ Pure and Simple

Hello there crafty friends!
I have one more card for the Fall | Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop using the beautiful Pure and Simple kit just released by Unity Stamp Company along with the gorgeous snowflake background from the November 2019 SMAK kit called Beauty of Life!! And the name is so perfect for this kit!!

Isn't this fabulous snowflake background just amazing!! I thought it would be fun paired with this new girl by Angie Blom. And, of course, it's an image with coffee involved so I just had to enter it in the Fall | Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!

I used the following copic markers to color this card:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Hair ~ E21, E27, E35, E37
Clothes ~ N0, N1, N2, N3, N5, B91, B95, B97, B99, BV000, BV00, BV02
Mug ~ BG000, BG23, E23, E51
Outline ~ B0000
Snowflake Background ~ V000, V04, V12, B0000, B00, B02, BV000, BV00, BV02

I just HAD to add some glitter... you can see a tiny bit in this picture.
In person there's so much more glittery goodness!!

I even added some of the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to the scarf... you can see a couple specks here.

A pretty simple design but I sure do love how it turned out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Scrapping for Less ~ Waffle Flower ~ Winter Wishes

Hello there crafty friends!
I'm back with a super cute card using the adorable Winter Wishes stamp set by Waffle Flower!!!
Oh my goodness... I love this adorable set!!

If you check out the link for this set above, you'll notice that I omitted one of the kids. I knew that I had just enough room for two kids in my card design so... sadly one of them had to be omitted. But since I colored this stamp in steps with my Stampin' Up markers, it was really easy to just color the two kids. This is an easy 2-layer builder stamp set... meaning you stamp one portion and then easily line up the next portion to stamp. I started with the hats and colored them to match the beautiful colors in the Santa's Workshop papers by Carta Bella. I used Green Galore and Cucumber Crush for the little boys hat and Watermelon Wonder and Real Red for the girls hat. The eyes and mouth are also part of this first stamp. I used Chocolate Chip for the eyes and Blushing Bride for the mouth.

Once I had the hats done, I removed the first stamp and lined up the second stamp. It was so easy to line these up! I wanted to add some blue into the card to play off of the background paper I chose so I used the Soft Sky marker. The cheeks and nose are also part of the second stamp... I used the Blushing Bride marker again. Now at this point, I had a little bit of dimension in the hat with the different colored markers I used, but the mittens and pom poms needed a little something so I pulled out my copic markers. I'll be honest, I don't know if coloring on dye ink with copics is totally safe, but I haven't had an issue with my markers. I used BG000 and BG01 on the pom poms, mittens, and bow. Then I got to thinking the faces needed to be colored in... they were just white at this point. So I pulled out my got to skin copic markers ~ E000, E00, and E21. I was careful to color around the cheeks, mouth, nose, and eyes because I really wasn't sure what would happen... Lol! Coloring in the faces really gives this adorable stamp that extra cute touch!!

I stamped the sentiment with the same markers... Cucumber Crush, Watermelon Wonder, and Soft Sky. The dot in the 'i' for the word Winter connected to the letter since I had to ink it up a few times to get nice coverage, so I made a new dot! To finish off my card, I thought a little hot cocoa cup would be a fun addition. I just happened to have the Cup of Cocoa stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs on my desk so I inked up the stamp with the Real Red and Soft Sky markers. I then colored it in with the following copic markers ~ B0000, B00, R00, R14. I stamped the snowflake with the Cucumber Crush marker but it was too dark so I went over it with a white gel pen. It's not quite white... LOL! But the nice tinge of blue works perfectly with the blues I have in the card. I sure love how this card turned out!!

This fun card is another take on the sketch that I created for the November Sketch Challenge in the Scrapping for Less Show & Share Facebook group... we'd love to have you join us and play along!!  You don't need a blog to enter the challenge as you're adding a photo of your creation directly in the Challenge album in the group. You are welcome to include a link to your blog in the description of your creation.

Here's one more look at the card... I'm so happy that I could add the hot cocoa element so that I can enter my card in the Fall | Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!

Today is the last day to play along with this hop! I sure hope you get a chance to play!

I'm sharing a quick & fun card for the Fall | Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop using the adorable Miss Anya Coffee Break set from The Greeting Farm along with the fabulous Knit Wits
Stencil from The Greetery.

How stinking cute is this Miss Anya?! I was so excited to finally ink her up!!
I used the following copic markers to color Miss Anya:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E51, R00, R20
Hair ~ E74, E77, E79, RV00, RV06, RV17
Clothes ~ RV00, RV06, RV17, BG11, BG13, BG23, N0, N2
Boots ~ N0, N1, N3, N5
Cup ~ N0, N2, E34, E35, E37

I blended some Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide over the two step Knit Wits Stencil... oh my goodness!! I love this stencil and I will be using it again soon. It actually has 3 separate stencils in the set that you can mix match to add dimension!! Fabulous!! I stamped the sentiment and then trimmed my card front and adhered it to a Raspberry Fizz card base. To finish off the card, I popped up Miss Anya on the card with foam tape. Love!!

We're nearing the end of the Fall | Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop... so sad, but I sure am having a blast! I hope you are too!

~ Friends of Unity November Blog Hop ~

Hello there crafty friends!
It's my favorite time of the month... time to hop with Friends of Unity!!

This month's cue is all about Giving Thanks!! Perfect for this time of year with Thanksgiving coming up in just a few weeks! I was able to create three cards to share with you all today so let's check them out!

My first card is a simple design with the fabulous Great Blessings kit by the wonderful Angie Blom! I started by coloring the truck with my absolute favorite color and seriously, this is my dream truck! Love it! I finished up the image and then had to go looking for the perfect paper... yup, did this one the hard way! Luckily, the fabulous new Rustic Wood papers from Unity came to the rescue... along with the pretty My Favorite Fall papers by Echo Park. I adhered both of these patterned papers to a piece of copy paper and die cut it with a large stitched rectangle die. I then adhered that to a white card base. I mat the pretty truck image on a piece of white card stock and wrapped it a few times with jute twine tying it off with a bow. I then popped up the panel on the card with foam tape... and realized I'd forgotten to stamp the sentiment!! Ooops... so I used my handy dandy Stamp Platform to position the sentiment just so and carefully stamped the sentiment. I was careful not to push too hard since it was already so many layers in the platform, but it still got a little extra dark on the bottom of the letters... oh, well... it's perfectly imperfect! And I love it!

Here's a close up of the coloring on the truck and pumpkins.
I used the following copic markers on this card:
Truck ~ BG70, BG72, N0, N1, N3
Fall Foliage ~ YR15, YR20, YR21, YR24, YR27, YR68, E35, E37, Y000, YG03, YG63
Background ~ BV20, C00, C1

The new Acorns All Over {background} stamp is so beautiful!! I have just been itching to play with it and I had a fun idea to mix a couple of my Brutus Monroe embossing powders. In order not to waste a bunch of embossing powder I added a couple tiny scoops from the Golden Gourd and Penny embossing powders to a coffee filter and then dumped it over my stamped acorn background into another coffee filter. I alternated between the two coffee filters and added a tiny bit more when needed. I didn't waste any of my embossing powder this way AND I was able to achieve an amazing background!!! Here's a couple close up pics of the background...

The pictures really don't do it justice!! In person you can see the two distinct colors from the embossing powders... such a fun technique!

I added a bit of Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide spray and then smooshed some Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks to finish off my background. I've had these extra bits still on the side of my desk from a previous card project I made for the September Friends of Unity Blog Hop... you can check that out here. I thought they'd be the perfect addition to finish off my card. All of these fun images are from the Change Can Be Beautiful Sentiment kit

I used the following Copic markers to color this card:
Leaves ~ YR01, YR15, YR21, YR68, G000, G43, G94, G99
Acorn ~ E21, E23, E25, E27
Pumpkin ~ YR01, YR15, YR21, YR68, E23, E27, G43, G94
Coffee cup ~ R14, R27, YR15, YR68, G43, G99, Y06, Y17, E23, E27, E41

I went back and forth on which card stock to use on my center piece and finally decided on kraft! I die cut it with the Papertrey Ink Brushed Off: Rectangle die and then die cut the sentiment with the My Favorite Things Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX. The center panel and sentiment are popped up with foam tape. I love the dimension it gives the card!

And I'm entering it in the fabulous Fall | Winter 2019 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop... if you're not familiar with this hop, you've got to check it out {^^just click on the link}. It's a fabulous hop that happens twice a year and it's just so much fun... filled with amazing caffeinated inspiration!! I love it!

My third card just makes me smile... I love this adorable stamp called Shadows Fall Behind You. It looks so much like my sweet daughter {minus her curly hair} and it's been warm enough to play in the leaves with a tank top on... so looking forward to cooler temps here soon! So you may notice the kraft and Brushed Off: Rectangle die... both products from my last card... I just had to use them again!! This time I remembered to stamp the sentiment before adhering the main panel. I stamped it with VersaMark watermark ink and then heat embossed a fine white embossing powder. I popped up the main panel with foam tape. I wrapped the card a few times with Stampin' Up! Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine and tied it with a bow.

Here's a close up of the colored image.
I used the following copic markers to color in this beautiful image:
Skin ~ E000, E00, E21, R00, R20
Hair ~ E31, E35, E37
Shirt ~ BV31, BV34
Leaves ~ Y000, Y06, Y15, YR15, YR21, YR27, YR68, R000, R14, R39, E35, E37
Background/Outline ~ B0000
