{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 33 ~ Sending You Tidings ~ Dreamerland Crafts

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm sharing one last Christmas card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 33 for the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. Today I'm featuring the super cute Sending You Tidings stamp set from Dreamerland Crafts. Adore this sweet girl and her teddy bear!! So cute!

I paired them up with the Amy Design Christmas Wishes paper pad that has been in my stash FOREVER. Or at least it seems like forever. I just felt like using gray-blues for this girl and these papers were a perfect pair up! Unfortunately, I don't think they are available anymore. I can't seem to find them online.

I stamped the sweet image using Memento Tuxedo black ink on Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink. My favorite ink when I'm stamping with clear photopolymer stamps because it cleans off really nicely. I used the following Copic markers to color up my image:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04, R00, RV10
Hair ~ E70, E71, E74
Clothes ~ C00, C1, BG70, BG72, BG75, R81, R83, R85
Present ~ R81, R83, R85, E81, E41, E43
Teddy Bear ~ E70, E71, E74, R00, RV10, BG70, BG72
Snow ~ C00, C1
Chimney ~ E21, E33, E17
Background / Sky ~ N0, N2, N4

I die cut the cute image using one of the Loopy Rectangle dies from Gina Marie Designs. The pattern paper layers are all adhered together and then adhered to a white A2 top fold card base. I used the TE Anti-Static Powder Tool to prep my black card stock before heat embossing the sentiment. Love this little tool!! I stamped the sentiment with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions on True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink. I added some Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe and melted the ep with my Wagner Precision heat tool. I trimmed the black card stock and adhered it to the main panel. I then added a bunch of foam tape to the back of the main panel and sentiment strip.

I popped them up on the card and wanted something for that extra space on the right side of the sentiment so I went looking through my dies for a snowflake and found the Deck the Halls dies from Spellbinders. I die cut two snowflakes from white card stock and adhered them together and then I adhered them to the sentiment strip. It's actually floating off of the card on the top. Not sure how it'll do if I mail it. I might have to hand deliver this one so the snowflake doesn't get all bent.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 20 ~ True Friends Stay Together ~ Dreamerland Crafts

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my weekly Christmas card! For today's card I used an adorable stamp set from Dreamerland Crafts called True Friends Stay Together. I've had this stamp on the side of my desk just waiting to ink it up. My son had another orthodontist appointment so it was the perfect time to ink this stamp up real quick and take it along to color while I waited for him.

I didn't pick out my papers first this time but I knew I wanted to go with a more traditional Christmas color combo with lots of red. I knew that I'd be able to pair up my colored image with a pretty Christmas paper and I think the one I chose is very complimentary to the stamp. It's called the My Favorite Christmas paper pad from Echo Park Paper Co.

Here's the list of Copic markers I used to color up this cute image:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, E04
Hair / Hair Bow ~ E43, E44, E47, YG11, G24, G46
Girl's Clothes ~ C00, C2, R000, R20, R14, R27
Boots ~ C00, C2, E21, E23
Kitty ~ W0, W1, W3, R000, R20, C00, C2, YG11, G24, G46
Candy Cane ~ C00, C2, R000, R20, R14, R27
Bow / Holly / Berries ~ Y11, Y06, Y15, YG11, G24, G46, R20, R14, R27

The sentiment is actually cut from the sentiment paper in the paper pad. I just cut around it and adhered it to a white mat and then a black mat. I added a few black enamel dots to finish off the card.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #6 ~ Dreamerland Crafts ~ Together for the Holidays

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with another sweet holiday card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge that is going on in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group for the entire month of January. I've been inking up some of those must have holiday stamps to keep on track with my goal of one holiday card a week for the year. This is card number three and I just couldn't wait any longer to ink up this adorable stamp from Dreamerland Crafts called Together for the Holidays!!

Isn't it just the sweetest stamp?! I adore it! I inked it up with VersaFine Onyx black ink on Canson XL 140lb watercolor paper and then heat embossed some Hero Arts Ultra Fine Clear embossing powder. I love to heat emboss detailed images when watercoloring so that the watercolors stay where I've put them. I used a handful of ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers to watercolor this sweet stamped image. I then stamped a couple of the snowflakes from the same set with Wow Clear embossing ink and heat embossed some Alabaster White embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I also used a VersaMark marker and added dots of snow around the image by heat embossing them with more white ep. I love how it turned out!

Once the watercolored image was completely dry, I die cut it with a Stitched Square Stacklets die from Taylored Expressions and mat it on a 3-3/8" squared piece of Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink. I then adhered it to a scrap piece of watercolor paper that I die cut with the Eyelet Elegance Square die from Gina Marie Design. I cut a 2" flag from Kraft card stock and adhered it to the back of the focal piece. I then popped up the whole focal piece with foam tape. The card base is a 10 x 5" piece of Kraft card stock scored in the middle to make a 5" square card. I cut some cute papers from Polkadoodles called Ho Ho Gnome... the blue snow paper is 4-7/8" square and the striped paper is 3 x 4-7/8". I adhered those together and then adhered them to the card base. The sentiment is from the Christmas Magic stamp set from Unity Stamp Co... it's stamped with the Wow Clear embossing ink and then I heat embossed some white ep. To finish off the card, I adhered a wood snowflake using Ranger Multi Medium Matte. So sweet... I love it!

Here's another look at the sketch I used. I adjusted the sketch slightly to work with a square card and the stamp that I wanted to use. I hope this card inspires you to pull out those holiday stamps and get ahead in creating your holiday cards! I'll be back next week with another fun holiday card!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Hugs,
Crystal
