Peekaboo Snow Globe Card ~ Dec. 2020 Whit Kit Winter Shake Up ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back to share one last card using the fantastic December 2020 Whit Kit called Winter Shake Up! I think I've saved the best for last... well, at least this is my favorite of the three cards that I've shared. When I saw the fun stamps in the Winter Shake Up stamp set, I instantly thought of this card design. I just love making peekaboo cards and how fun to create with a snow globe as the peekaboo element!! I just love how it turned out!

I left the front very CAS on purpose... I think it makes the peekaboo element more fun!
I'll be honest, this card was a little bit of work... but overall it's a pretty easy card to make.

Here you can see the lights reflect off of the acetate sheet I used for a faux shaker element.

And the inside!!! How stinkin' cute is that! Eeep! I love it!
The sentiment inside the card is from the Christmas Wishes set... a Graciellie Design stamp available at Unity Stamp Co. Love love love the sentiments in this set!

Here's a quick run down of the Copic Markers that I used for this card:

Snow Globe Base ~ G21, G46
Snow Globe Glass ~ B0000, B00
Tree ~ G21, G46, E55, E59
Car ~ R000, R14, R27, C00, C2, N0, N1, N2, N3, N5
Grounding ~ N0, N1

I invite you to please check out my video sharing how I created this card. You can check it out here... Peekaboo Snow Globe Card | DEC 2020 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co. or you can click on the video below.

One more look at this cute card... I think this just may be my last Christmas card for 2020.
I hope you've enjoyed seeing some inspiration using the December 2020 Whit Kit... I sure have had fun creating these cards to share with you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Slimline Glittery Snow Scene Card ~ Dec. 2020 Whit Kit Winter Shake Up ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm excited to share a fun slimline card today! I had so much fun creating another card using the fantastic December 2020 Whit Kit called Winter Shake Up! And it's hard not to make a slimline when the ideas for this style of card are really endless!

I stamped the top portion of the white slimline card front with the snow stamp included in the Winter Shake Up stamp set several times with Sea Glass ink from Gina K. Designs. I also used a Nuvo glue pen to add some of the chunky glitter included in the card kit. I die cut a piece of the Silver Glitterstock and trimmed it so the A2 sized sheet of glitter paper would fit on the slimline card base. You can kind of see the line in between the silver glitter hills, but in real life it's hard to see with all the shine.

I used my Stamp Platform to ink up the car stamp because I wanted to use different inks for the tree and the car. I used Grass Green ink and Charcoal Brown ink, both from Gina K. Designs, for the tree, trunk and stand, and then Memento Tuxedo black ink for the car. I colored up the cute car stamp with the following Copic markers ~ R000, R14, R27, N0, N3, N5, B0000, E55, G46.

You can check out my process video here... Slimline Glittery Snow Scene | DEC 2020 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co. or you can click the video below.

I just can't get enough of this adorable car!! It just may be a new favorite! I have one more card to share using this fantastic card kit... I hope you'll come back tomorrow and check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

I can't get enough of the adorable images in the stamp set included in the kit... also called Winter Shake Up! Now this kit is definitely geared towards making shaker cards... but I'm sharing some fun alternatives to shaker cards over the next few days!

My card for today features this adorable snowman! I've created a very CAS scene for him using a piece of the White Winter papers and then I've mat it on another piece of patterned paper from the pack.

I colored up the cute snowman with the following Copic markers:

Snowman ~ BG0000, BG01, YR21, YR68, E55, E57

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #5 ~ Warm Wishes ~ The Greeting Farm

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back again today to share a little last minute Christmas card inspiration using the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge #5 sketch!! This sketch can make such a quick card just by utilizing all of those pretty Christmas patterned papers that we all have in our stash!!

I just had to use this cute little bear from The Greeting Farm... he's in the Warm Wishes stamp set. Isn't he just THE cutest?! I love him! I also stamped the cute little mug from the Cozy With You stamp set, also from The Greeting Farm. Anywho, since I already had him picked out for my card I had to find a cute patterned paper to compliment him. I chose the adorable I Love Winter papers from Echo Park.

I stamped the little bear with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored him up with the
following Copic markers:

Bear ~ W00, W2, R00, R20, N1, N7
Hat/Scarf/Mug ~ B0000, B41, N0, N2, N3
Sweater ~ R000, R14, R27

Here's a quick look at the sketch... you can check it out in the Build Your Stash Holiday

I'm also entering my card for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers National Cocoa Day Guest Designer search... I'm such a huge fan of the Coffee Loving Papercrafters group and of a yummy mug of cocoa.

I stamped the sentiment with Powder Blue ink from Gina K. Designs but then decided to go darker since the background paper is a dark blue. So I stamped right over the Powder Blue ink with In the Navy ink also from Gina K. Designs. I fussy cut the bear and mug and then I trimmed down the sentiment cutting a flag at the end. I adhered them all together and then popped them up with stampin' dimensionals. Such a cute card and it didn't take long at all! I hope I've given you a little inspiration for those last minute Christmas cards!

Unity Stamp Co. ~ Just Hold On ~ Watercoloring & Stenciling

 Hello there crafty friends!
Today I'm sharing a subtle and sweet card with watercoloring and a little distress ink over a fun stencil... love how the flowers pop off of this card! The End of 2020 Sale over at Unity Stamp Co. is almost over!!! I wanted to share one more card that I created using the beautiful Just Hold On set along with a fun stencil and some distress inks! A simple but oh... so beautiful card!

I used my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush markers to watercolor the flowers and I lightened the tips with some Prismacolor white pencil.

I ink blended a subtle background with Tumbled Glass distress ink over the Mini Tile Mania stencil from The Crafters Workshop. Inked up the edges of the card front with a little Vintage Photo distress ink. I wrapped the card front with a little Ivory burlap string and then adhered it to a kraft base.

You can check out my process video here... Watercolor & Subtle Stenciled Background.

I hope you've been inspired to pull out some of your crafty stuff and get inky today! I hope to get a jump on my birthday cards for the coming year.

Unity Stamp Co. ~ Just Hold On ~ Metallic Watercolor Birthday Card

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I'm sharing a metallic watercolored birthday card with lots and lots of shimmer!! I used the beautiful Metallic Accent watercolors from Prima Marketing Inc to watercolor the gorgeous carnations from the Just Hold On stamp set that was just released at Unity Stamp Co.!!

A lovely CAS card that was pretty quick to make too!
I die cut the panel with the Pleated Lace Rectangle die from Gina Marie Design. I adhered it directly to a white A2 top-fold card base.

I wrapped the front layer of the card with some Ivory burlap string and tied a little bow.

A look at some of the shimmer on the card!! I just love it!
You can check out my process in this video... Metallic Watercolor Birthday Card!

I sure hope you've liked the card I've shared today! I'll be back in a couple of days with more inspiration using this beautiful Just Hold On stamp set!

Unity Stamp Co. ~ Aging Graze-fully ~ Masculine Birthday Card

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a quick and fun masculine birthday card that I made for my son's upcoming 17th birthday!! He loves buffaloes so when I saw this fabulous new release at Unity Stamp Co. called Aging Graze-fully, I just knew I had to use it for his birthday card!

The detail in the buffalo is amazing... he really doesn't need to be colored, at all! So I stamped him on kraft card stock and die cut him with a circle die. I did a little distressing with ink and with the paper distresser!

The background was created using the fantastic Infinite Birthday Wishes background stamp! I will be utilizing this fabulous stamp often! I also love how the background turned out... I can't wait to see how it looks in different colors!

I have a process video for this fun card on my YouTube channel! You can check that out here... or click the video below.

I know that masculine birthday cards can be difficult so I hope my card has inspired you
to get inky today!

~ Friends of Unity December 2020 Blog Hop ~

 Hello there crafty friend!

Welcome to the December 2020 Friends of Unity Blog Hop! Our cue this month is...

... My Favorite Things!!
So fun! I have A LOT of favorite things... owls, coffee, books, snowmen, wreaths, holly & berries, old trucks, daisies, sunflowers... really I could go on with about a dozen more of my favorite things but the TOP of that list is Unity Stamp Co.!! I'm a HUGE fan of the fabulous company which is why I started this awesome monthly blog hop, along with my awesome friend Amber! Today we are celebrating 3 fantastic years of us hopping with Unity inspiration!! Woohoo!! I can't believe that it's been 3 years already... I for one, can't wait to see what the next 3 years brings!

I hope that you'll hop along with us and enjoy the fabulous inspiration we're bringing this month. Speaking of... let's get to it!

My first card features the fabulous new Uniquely Unity stamp called Take a Break. If you're new to Unity, Uniquely Unity is a fabulous membership that Unity offers monthly. Each month you receive a wonderful stamp set in all different styles. It's one of my favorite memberships!

Anywho... if you've followed my blog you may recognize this card design. I used it with a Santa stamp a couple of years ago and I really love the design so I thought I'd recreate it with this new beautiful stamp that just happens to feature one of my favorite things... Coffee!! I also paired it up with one of my new favorite Christmas papers, the Farmhouse Christmas papers! The colors in these papers are just gorgeous! I also used a piece of the Cozy Christmas papers... the sweater piece! Love it!

I die cut the image with the Papertrey Ink Shape Shifters: Oval 2 die and colored it with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E35, E74, E79
Hat/Sleeve ~ E41, YG67, YG93, R00, R21
Blanket ~ E0000, E41, E81, R14, R27
Mug ~ BG70, BG72, N0, N1, N4

The sentiment is actually from a piece of patterned paper from Tim Holtz Christmas Paper Stash paper pad. I cut the words right out of the paper and adhered it to white card stock and then popped it up on the card along with the popped up focal image. I adore this card!!

My second card features the beautiful Start Something New stamp set... and books!! Another one of my favorite things!!! Notice anything about the design of this card?! It's another take, like a mirror image, of the first card. I used one of my favorite techniques... layering stencils to create my background. First I used the Scalloped Circle Masquerade Stencil from Heffy Doodle and blended a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink over it. I then used the Twinkle Stencil from Whimsy Stamps and blended a bit of Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink. I stamped the sentiment and the girl with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I trimmed the card front down to 4 x 5" and adhered it to a Tempting Turquoise card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I then adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base.

I then colored the girl using the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E21, E25, E27
Clothes ~ YR000, YR12, YR15, YR21, B95, B97, B99
Books ~ W3, G14, E57, E43, YR000, YR21, E74, B95, B97, G94, C00, C1

I fussy cut the image and popped her up on the card. To finish off this card I added a few dots with Nuvo Blue Lagoon Glitter drops. Love it! I really love that the designs are similar but so different!

I started a third card but didn't have enough time to finish it up. Boo!
I'm hoping to share it in a few days though.

In celebration of our 3 years of hopping I am having a giveaway!! I will use random.org to chose a winner from the comments so be sure to comment on each of the blogs while you're hopping! I believe a few of my friends are also having giveaways this month!

Let's get to the hopping...

Scrapping for Less ~ Christmas Inspiration and a Farewell

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today is my final blog post for Scrapping for Less. I have a quick card to share that I created using the October 2020 FOTM and then I'd like to go down memory lane a little bit with you. This is kind of a long post, but it's mostly pictures... with a little chatter. I hope you'll stick around until the end.

I just love the Merry Christmas sentiment in the Christmas Elements stencil that was included in the Banana Split subscription of the October 2020 FOTM card kit. I actually used it and had planned on sharing an extra card for the hop and reveal for the October kit but I didn't have enough time. So I set it aside for another day. I have a quick video sharing my process for this card.
You can check that out... here.

I really love how this turned out! I hope you like it too!

Now for some reminiscing...

Way back in August of 2017 Teresa and Kim asked me to guest design for Scrapping for Less. This is my second card as a guest designer. Why didn't I share my first card? Well... I like this one more. lol
After a short guest design gig, Teresa and Kim asked me to join the design team and I was so elated!!
I'm very grateful for the opportunity that Teresa and Kim gave me... it was literally the beginning of a crazy crafty journey that has led me to design for other companies and start my YouTube channel AND to illustrate some of my very own physical and digital stamps.
So I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Teresa and Kim!!

Now I'm going to share some of my favorite cards over the 3-1/2 years that I've designed for SFL and throw in some of my favorite cards created with my own stamps that I designed for SFL too.

One of my absolute favorite cards... a slimline before the latest slimline trend! I colored and paper pieced this sweet scene way back in November 2018. You can check out the original post here... Have a Magical Christmas.

Another favorite... the black base and pop of Fall colors really make this card so beautiful. You can check out the original post here... Fall Breeze card.

Now this card has a special place in my heart as the first ever stamp that I designed for Scrapping for Less. I really enjoyed the process going back and forth with Teresa and Kim designing this beautiful stamp. You can check out the original post here... Nordic Winter card.

I was so honored when Teresa asked me to design the first ever stamp sets to be released outside of the card kits. I had so much fun designing the adorable Winter Fairies and the coordinating Fairy House. So much fun to illustrate and then to see them as physical stamps... awesome! There's still a few sets available in the shop if you'd like to add these to your collection {click the links above}!!

What little girl doesn't dream of being Cinderella?! I had a blast drawing these glass slippers. You can check out the original post here... It's All About the Girls. And there's still some of these sweet Glass Slippers in the shop!

Often times, Teresa would just give me a general idea for the stamp and let me run with it. I sure love the way this one turned out... I drew it with my daughter in mind. You can check out the original post here... Layered Stencils for CAS Cards. This cutie is still available in the shop... Live Your Best Life.

Another fun one that turned out really cute. Here's the original post... City Streets and Country Roads. There's only a couple of these left in the shop... Country Roads.

I had to giggle a little when Teresa shared her idea for this stamp. A chicken blowing bubble gum...?! Haha!! Definitely a fun request and one that I enjoyed drawing. Here's the original post for this one... Bubble Galore. You can add this hilarious stamp to your collection here... Blowing Bubbles.

And the last stamp that I designed for Scrapping for Less... I adore snowmen so this one I will cherish forever! Here's the original post for this one... Christmas is Covered.

Well... that was a little long, but I hope you enjoyed reminiscing with me. I do have one last card to share and this one is my absolute favorite card of all time while creating for Scrapping for Less...

I love love love this card! The design is so pretty. I'm so happy with the coloring on the die cut pieces. And that sentiment speaks to my soul! You can check out the original post here... City Streets and Country Roads Sneak Peek. This die is actually still in the shop!! Get it here... Flowery Camera die!!

Okay. Well, I've delayed the end here long enough.

Thank you SO MUCH for following my crafty journey while with Scrapping for Less!
See ya next time.

Scrapping for Less ~ Christmas Card Challenge ~ Rustic Watermelon with Victorian House

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing inspiration for the new December Card Challenge for the Scrapping for Less: Show & Share Facebook group! This month is a Christmas Card Challenge. Super easy peasy... just enter your newly created Christmas card to the album! I think this would be a great way to get us inking up the new products from the October 2020 Christmas is Covered card kit!! But really you can enter any Christmas card that you've created, but please only newly created Christmas cards!

Before we get any further... the key to playing along with the challenge is being a member of the Scrapping for Less: Show & Share Facebook group so if you aren't already a member be sure to join in the fun ---> here. Also, please note that you don't need a blog to enter the challenge as you're adding a photo of your creation directly into the challenge album in the group. You are welcome to include a link to your blog in the description of your creation, if you'd like.

Ok... enough chit chat... let's get to my card!

So... I had a little fun with this card. Do you recognize the patterned paper I used? If you said Rustic Watermelon, you're right!! Yes, I had a fun idea for a pink and green Christmas card using the Rustic Watermelon papers. What do you think?! It's different... but I think it works!

I used the scalloped rectangle die and stitched rectangle die from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 dies. For the focal image I die cut white card stock with a Stitched Rectangle STAX die, also from My Favorite Things. I wrapped the focal panel with a light pink 1/4" grosgrain ribbon from my stash. I then tied a knot with the ribbon and cut fishtails on both ends for a faux bow. I did some simple copic coloring on the house with the following Copic Markers:

House ~ W00, W1, W3
Roof/Accents ~ N2, N4, N5
Windows ~ Y06, Y35
Bows ~ R27
Wreath ~ G000, G14
Snow ~ C00, C2
Christmas Lights ~ Y06, YR15, R27, G14, B02

And since I was already working on the one card, why not make two!

It took me a bit to find a green ribbon that works well with the green in these papers. I ended up using New Leaf Topnotch Twill Tape from Papertrey Ink.

Here's a closer look at the added shine from the Ranger Glossy Accents that I added to the windows and Christmas lights. Such a fun touch to the house!

I have a video on my YouTube channel sharing my process in making these cute cards!
You can check the video out... here!

I love how these two cards turned out using non-Christmas papers! I hope you like them too and are inspired to join us in the Christmas Card Challenge!

The December Christmas Card Challenge will run from today, December 1st, and will end December 31st at 11:59pm EST. The winner will be announced in the comments of the challenge album on Friday January 1st. Please use #sflchristmascardchallenge in any social media posts when playing along with the challenge. I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.
