Halloween Shaker Card ~ Toil and Trouble ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a Halloween shaker card I made using the awesome new Toil and Trouble stamp set that was just released at Unity Stamp Co.!! I love making Halloween cards and this new stamp set is so detailed... it was really fun to play with!

I don't typically like making shaker cards because they just don't work out for me but I'm happy to say that this one was actually fun to create! I used the beautiful Trick or Treat {paper pack} but I grunged it up with some Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. I die cut the orange layer with an oval die and then die cut a layer of black card stock with a slightly smaller oval die. I added a few touches of color to the witch stamp with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ YG0000
Hair ~ YG0000, YG13, G14
Hat / Clothes ~ V01, V05, V06, YG13, G14, N0, N2
Cauldron ~ N0, N2, YG0000, YG13, G14, E51, E55
Fire ~ YR09, YR15, YR68, Y06
Spoon ~ E51, E55, E57

I fussy cut the witch and adhered her to the back of the orange layer. And then I adhered the black layer behind her. I adhered a piece of clear card stock over the back of the black layer and then added a bunch of foam tape around the oval shape and all over the card front. I grunged up a piece of the green pattern paper with the same Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and adhered it to a black card front measuring 5-1/2 x 4-1/4". I used my Ranger Anti Static pouch all over the green pattern paper and the clear card stock to control the static cling with the sequins. I added some shaker bits from Studio Katia called Black Dust and Spooky Satin Confetti to the green layer and then popped up my top layer.

I added a bit of Black Soot Distress Oxide ink around the sentiment and mat it on black card stock. I adhered it to the card and added a few sequins to the card to finish it off.

Check out the new releases over at Unity Stamp Co... there's this cool Halloween set and another cute one that I made this card with ---> Halloween Cuteness card

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 12 ~ White Christmas ~ Brutus Monroe

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today is the last day for the Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop... I've had a blast sharing a bunch of holiday cards with you all! I hope you've enjoyed them too! For my last card, I used an adorable scene stamp from Sponsor Brutus Monroe called White Christmas (sadly I don't see it in the shop), but I die cut just a portion of the stamp so I could make one more card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 12.

This sweet stamp doesn't need much coloring because the details are just amazing! I decided to pair it up with some pretty papers with traditional Christmas colors of red and green. Sadly, these papers are no longer available... they were designed by Sponsor Fresh and Renewed with Teresa when Teresa had her crafty business called Scrapping for Less. This paper pack was one of my favorites so I just had to use it for this hop! Teresa is having a giveaway on her blog... stop by and see the pretty cards she made for the hop and leave her some love!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for my card:

Snowman ~ C00, C2, E57, R14, YR68
Bunny ~ W1, W3, W5, R01, R20
Trees ~ G12, G24, G46
Ground ~ N1, N4

And here's a look at Sketch 12. I flipped the sketch for my card and omitted the mat for the strip across the card. The sketch challenges at {BYSH} Cardmakers are meant to inspire, not require so make adjustments when needed in creating your card. As long as there's some element of the sketch in your card, it's fine.

I'm having a giveaway during the hop... to enter you just need to comment on my blog posts each day during the hop! Each comment {one per blog post, please} will get your name in a hat and my daughter will pick a winner. The winner will be announced here on my blog Sunday, August 1st.

Today is the last day to play along with the Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog!! If you can find some time to get inky, join us and link up before 11:59pm PDT. Let's build our stash of holiday cards!!

Pretty One Layer Card~ July 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with a quick one layer card using the beautiful July 2021 Whit Kit called The Secret of Change from Unity Stamp Co. I got to thinking that the pretty ink cube colors would make a lovely background so I had to give it a try and I love how it turned out! I hope you do too!

This technique is fun when working with ink cubes... especially when they look so pretty together! I debated using white as my neutral color (and I still might) but I like the boldness of the black!

A little sparkly touch with the gorgeous glitter enamel dots included in the kit!
I have a quick process video for this card. You can check it out here... Pretty One Layer Card | July 2021 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I can't believe the Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop is almost over!! Time has flown by so fast! Today I'm sharing my eighth card for the hop... this may just be my favorite because I seriously had to get creative with this one. It was a bit of a challenge to make a Christmas card using a stamp set that's not geared towards Christmas at all. I was surprised to find I don't have any Christmas stamps from Sponsor Not 2 Shabby... of course, I took advantage of the sale and I've remedied that for next time but for my card today I used the beautiful Let's Do Coffee stamp set! *** Enabler Alert... I just saw that this sweet stamp set is on sale!!*** Also for the duration of the hop Not 2 Shabby is offering 20% off all Not 2 Shabby brand items!! Use Coupon: XMASINJULY

I love this beautiful stamp set and I'm super excited I finally got a chance to play with it!! I paired it up with a gorgeous paper pack called Deck the Halls by Echo Park Paper. I created a bit of scene using images from the stamp set and framed the scene with the pretty Christmas papers. I used some Metallic Stickers from Tim Holtz called Holiday Talk for both of my sentiments on this card.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11, R00, R20
Hair ~ YR0000, YR02, YR24, YR31
Clothes ~ BG11, BG23, R000, R14, R27, C00, C2, C3
Cups ~ G12, G14, G46, R000, R14, R27, C00, C2, C3
Counter ~ E21, E25, E29
Special Board ~ E21, E25, E29, N1, N3, N5
Espresso Machine ~ N0, N1, N3, N5

I'm having a giveaway during the hop... to enter you just need to comment on my blog posts each day during the hop! Each comment {one per blog post, please} will get your name in a hat and my daughter will pick a winner. The winner will be announced here on my blog Sunday, August 1st.

Stamping on Pattern Paper ~ Halloween Cuteness ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's no surprise at this point that I love making Christmas cards... I really do find joy in it! But I also adore a sweet Halloween card and Unity Stamp Co. just released the Halloween Cuteness stamp set and it is seriously too cute! I had a fun idea to pair it up with the recently release Jot It Down Background!

What do you think?! I think it turned out pretty cute! I'm going to give it to my daughter for Halloween... she's already shopping for her costume this year!! LOL... she's a serious Halloween lover!

The ghosts are very simply Copic colored with B00 and B0000 and I added a touch of gray to the Boo word bubble with N0 and N1. I have a process video for this card on my YouTube channel. You can check it out here... Stamping on Pattern Paper | Halloween Card | Unity Stamp Co.

Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Joy of the Season ~ Gina K. Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
We're well passed halfway through our Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop and I am loving all the fabulous inspiration being shared! I hope you've checked out the hop even if you aren't able to play along with us. So many wonderful cards and tags being shared! Today I have a card featuring a wonderful exclusive stamp set that I was fortunate to get my hands on during the STAMPtember celebration in 2018 and sadly this is the first time that I've inked it up! Isn't it sad how that happens?!

This gorgeous tree silhouette is from the Joy of the Season STAMPtember stamp set from Simon Says Stamp and New Sponsor Gina K. Designs. I just HAD to do a beautiful galaxy like background for the trees... almost like a Northern Lights background too. I used Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks... I did a mix of ink smooshing and ink blending over the Alabaster White embossed trees and wiped the ink off the trees with an old t-shirt I use to clean off my blending brushes. I also blended the same three inks on a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of white card stock.

I die cut the tree layer with a stitched rectangle die and then I placed the tree layer over the background layer and did some white acrylic paint splatter. I set the layers aside to dry and heat embossed the sentiment with Sponsor Brutus Monroe Alabaster White embossing powder on some vellum card stock. Once the layers were both dry, I added a bit of PLUS Vellum Tape to the back of the sentiment and then wrapped the vellum strip around the back of the tree layer. I then adhered the tree layer to a white mat measuring 4-5/8 x 3-3/8". I trimmed my back layer to 5-1/4 x 4" and adhered it to a white A2 card base. I adhered the tree layer to the background on the card base and added a couple white enamel dots from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. I am so glad I finally inked up this amazing stamp set! I need to use more of the gorgeous stamps in the set!

I'm entering my card in the Monthly Mix Challenge over at Gina K Designs!! This month's challenge is a Christmas in July challenge... so fitting!!

I'm having a giveaway during the hop... to enter you just need to comment on my blog posts each day during the hop! Each comment {one per blog post, please} will get your name in a hat and my daughter will pick a winner. The winner will be announced here on my blog Sunday, August 1st.

Simple Sketch Cards ~ July 2021 Whit Kit ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

Today I have four cards to share using the beautiful July 2021 Whit Kit called The Secret of Change from Unity Stamp Co. I am loving the beautiful butterflies in this kit!! And of course, the papers are dreamy! Another fab kit!

All of my cards today use the same simple sketch... first I chose a simple paper for my card front. For this card, that's the pink paper with white flowers. I chose a complimentary paper for my layer (3 x 4") and mat it on white card stock (3-1/8 x 4-1/8").

I adhered these layers together and then stamped my solid butterfly on a die cut circle of white card stock with the Panama Rose Nuvo Hybrid ink cube that's included in the kit. I then stamped the detailed butterfly with Wow Clear Embossing ink and heat embossed Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I stamped the sentiment and then trimmed it a bit for this card. The sentiment is adhered directly on the top layer but the butterfly circle is popped up with foam squares.

For my second card, I used the mint paper with tiny colorful flowers and then paired it up with the butterfly paper that also has the tiny flowers. I think these two compliment each other nicely!

I used the Rubber Duck Nuvo Hybrid ink cube that's included in the kit with this card.

I was curious to see how the Lime Burst Nuvo Hybrid ink cube would look with the mint green paper... it doesn't match but in person it looks a whole lot nicer. Just saying!

So I tried again... with the Panama Rose Nuvo Hybrid ink cube. I think this looks much better. Again, I paired up a mint green paper with the leaves (or are they feathers...? Not totally sure.) with the cream butterfly papers.

This may just be my favorite card of the bunch!

I have a video showing my process with this fourth card. You can check it out here... Simple Sketch Card | July 2021 Whit Kit | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's all three cards together... these would make a great gift for a friend!

I just love the beautiful colors in this month's kit!
I'll be back on Thursday with another card using the beautiful July 2021 Whit Kit!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Magic of Christmas ~ Polka Dot Orchard

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm actually sharing two cards for the Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop!! I'm using the first digi stamp that I illustrated for Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard called Magic of Christmas! This digi stamp set is near and dear to my heart since it's the first one I ever made, but also because it's Christmas! Christmas makes me happy and playing with this fun digi stamp set makes me happy. Let's check out the cards I made.

My first card features the adorable Santa's bag filled with gifts... I paired it up with paper from the Santa's Workshop paper pad by Carta Bella. I used colors from the papers to color up the image. Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:

Bag ~ R000, R14, R46, R89, Y06, Y15, Y35, Y38
Bear ~ E21, E23, E25, E51, R01, R20
Polka Dot Gift ~ R000, R14, R46, Y06, Y15
Blue Gift ~ B0000, B00, B91, Y06, Y15, Y35
Book ~ G24, G46, E23, E51, B0000, B00
Silver Gift ~ G24, G46, N0, N1, N3
Ground ~ N0, N1, N3

I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die with rounded corners. I adhered it to the pattern paper and finished off the card with some beautiful Green Flat Back Rhinestones from Sponsor Twiddler's Nook. Loving these pretty rhinestones!

My second card using the Magic of Christmas digi stamp set from Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard features Santa belt. A super simple card with a bit of coloring... I hadn't planned on going so big with the sentiment, but had to cover a booboo when the original sentiments got colored in too much. I used the following Copic markers for this card:

Belt ~ N1, N3, N5, N7
Belt Buckle ~ Y06, Y15, Y28, Y35, Y38
Background ~ R000, R01, R14, R20

I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a card front of black card stock. I finished off this card with a few of the white clay snowflakes from the Happy Feet Embellishment Mix by Sponsor Twiddler's Nook! Even though I had to go bigger with the sentiment, I still like how it turned out.

I'm having a giveaway during the hop... to enter you just need to comment on my blog posts each day during the hop! Each comment {one per blog post, please} will get your name in a hat and my daughter will pick a winner. Winner will be announced here on my blog Sunday, August 1st.

Membership Monday ~ July 2021 KOM Special Spot in my Heart ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!

I'm back with not one, but TWO fun mini slimline cards using the fantastic July 2021 KOM called Special Spot in my Heart from Unity Stamp Co!! I have been getting the Kit of the Month membership for quite awhile now and I adore the amazing stamps I receive each month! It's like Christmas each month... speaking of, if you're visiting my blog and looking for my Christmas in July card for today you can find that blog post here ---> Sweater Weather card. Now, let's check out my KOM cards...

My first card is Fall inspired... I don't know about you, but I can't wait for cooler weather! This is a very simple one layer card using the beautiful tree from the KOM. I stamped it and the big hello stamp on a piece of white card stock. I colored the scene with the following Copic markers:

Tree ~ E25, E55, E79
Leaves ~ E51, E55, R00, R14, R89, YR15, YR21, Y06, Y35
Grass ~ YG63, YG67, YG91
Sky ~ T1, B0000, B00

I used the Wonky Stitched Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs to die cut the image and adhered it to a Kraft mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6-1/2", scored at 3-1/2". I think I'll send this one to a friend just to say hello.

My second card was a lot of fun to create... I love to read and this image and sentiment just speak to me. I stamped them both on white card stock and die cut it with the Scalloped Stitched Mini Slimline die from Gina Marie Designs. I colored the stamped image with the following Copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E08, E18, YR21
Clothes ~ BG10, BG23, C00, C1, C2
Books ~ C00, C2, E21, E23, YR30, YR31, R14, R37, B91, B95, G24, G43

I didn't think to pick out my pattern paper before I started coloring so I had to go looking and after awhile I decided to go with some Art-C papers that I've had for a while... they don't have a name but they're like notebook and graph paper. I found a couple scraps already cut that worked perfectly.

I adhered the off white papers onto the blue papers and then roughed up the edges with a distress tool. I adhered the scalloped layer to the pattern paper layer and then adhered the entire panel to a white mini slimline card base measuring 7 x 6-1/2", scored at 3-1/2". I added a few Snowy Mountain enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs to finish off this card.

Here's a look at the beautiful July 2021 KOM! I just love those beautiful flowers in the jar... so pretty! I hope you've been inspired to pull out your Kit of the Month and get inky! I'll see you next Monday with another card for Membership Monday!

Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop ~ Sweater Weather ~ Newton's Nook Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 4 of the Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop and I am super excited to share a card that I made using some really sweet products from new Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs!! I've been a huge fan of Newton's Nook Designs for some time... and I was tickled pink when they said yes to sponsoring our little Christmas themed hop!! Yay!

I was so excited that I actually had a hard time picking which products to use for my card! I finally decided a simple winter scene would be fun using the awesome Forest Scene Builder dies. I die cut the four trees, a few birds and the cute squirrel and colored them up with the following Copic markers:

Trees ~ YG11, G29, G46, E51, E55, E57
Cardinal ~ R000, R14, R46, YR15
Canada Jays ~ N1, N3, C00
Squirrel ~ E21, E23, E25, E27
Eyes ~ 0.05 Copic Multi Liner

The cute bunny is from the Sweater Weather stamp set and I die cut it with the coordinating Sweater Weather die set, both from Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs. The sweet mug is from the Cup of Cocoa stamp set, also from Newton's Nook Designs. I colored up the images with the following Copic markers:

Bunny ~ C00, C2, R01, R20, E51
Clothes ~ R000, R14, R46, C00, C2, YG11, G24, G46
Mug ~ YG11, G24, G46, R000, R14, R46, C00, C2, E21, E23, E25, E27

I fussy cut the mug and adhered it to the bunny. The plaid background paper is the Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper pack from Lawn Fawn. I die cut a hillside with a stitched border die and built my scene on my card. The sentiment is also from the Cup of Cocoa stamp set
I just love how this turned out!

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 3 of the Christmas in July 2021 {BYSHC} Hop and I am so excited to share a sweet card using an adorable digi stamp from new Sponsor KaDoodle Bug Designs!! KaDoodle Bug Designs has lots of cool cutting files and digi stamps!! I admit, I got lost oohing and aahing just looking at all the goodies. I did manage to get a couple super cute digi stamps to play with for the hop! I just couldn't resist!

This little cutie is the Joy Bear digital stamp... so much fun to color this up!! I resized the digi stamp in a Word Document and printed him off... easy peasy! Then the fun part... coloring! I used the following Copic markers to color this image:

Bear ~ E23, E27, E51, E55, R01, R20
Hat ~ R000, R14, R46, C00, C2
Wreath ~ YG11, G24, G46, R000, R14, R46
J & Y ~ YG11, G24, G46

I just had to go with traditional red and green with a touch of kraft for this card! I used a large circle die to cut my card base from Kraft card stock. I used a slightly smaller circle die to cut the holly & berry paper from the Christmas Magic paper pad by Doodlebug Design. I die cut Joy Bear with a circle die and then popped him up with foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a bunch of Red Flat Back Rhinestones from Sponsor Twiddler's Nook! Such a fun touch of sparkle it adds to the card!

I'm having a giveaway during the hop... to enter you just need to comment on my blog posts each day during the hop! Each comment {one per blog post, please} will get your name in a hat and my daughter will pick a winner. Winner will be announced here on my blog Sunday, August 1st.
