Unity Lovers ATCs ~ Repeat Stamping ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I just wanted to share the Repeat Stamping ATCs that I made for the Unity Lovers ATC swap this month. I used the fun colors from our Friends of Unity Color Challenge as my inspiration for the cards so I wanted to share these since the challenge ends today. Go whip up a pretty Fall card using the colors from the graphic {shared below in the blog post} and your Unity products and enter your card into the album in the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group before midnight tonight!

I ink smooshed the ATCs with Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Fired Brick and Scorched Timber Distress Ink. I blended a bit more Fossilized Amber over the white areas.

I repeat stamped one of the beautiful trees from Pines of Endearment on each card using Scorched Timber Distress Ink. And then I stamped the sentiment from Letting Go.

I finished up the ATCs with a little bit of Inkon3 Liquid Pixie Dust spatters.

Here's a look at the graphic for the challenge. The challenge ends tonight! I hope you can play along with us! That's it for me today. Have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal

Fall Book Lovers Card ~ Just One More Chapter ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with a sweet book lovers card for Unity's latest release. I love to read!! I even listen to books while I craft. It's gotten to where I almost need to have a book playing in the background for my mojo to get going! I was so excited to play with the new Just One More Chapter! Love it!

I stamped the book girl  and sentiment using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and then I colored up the girl with my Copic markers. The girl was die cut with the new Maple Leaf Die. The edges of the leaf were distressed with a bit of Antique Linen Distress Ink.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E70, E71, E74
Shirt: E40, E81
Pants: B91, B93, Colorless Blender
Books: C00, C2, YR21, YR15, YR16, YR27, YG61, YG63, E51, E55, E57, B91, B93
Ring: N2, N4
Nails: YR16
Ground: C00, C2

My pattern paper layers are from the beautiful Enrich the Soul {paper pack}... definitely my top five Fall paper packs! Love the colors in these papers! I die cut the leaf and sentiment papers using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Die Set.

You can check out my process video for this card here... Fall Book Lovers Card | Just One More Chapter | Unity Stamp Co.

The sentiment was die cut using a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies. I adhered all of my layers together using Tombow Mono Adhesive liquid glue and then I popped up the Maple Leaf girl using Scrapbook Adhesive Crafty Foam Tape. Loving how this turned out! I hope you have an inkredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Funny Happy Retirement ~ Flamingle into Retirement ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for Unity's latest release!! I am so excited to share a funny retirement card with you all today! How fun is this awesome flamingo!? I love it! Flamingle into Retirement just released and I am loving the awesome sentiments included with this beautiful stamp!

I stamped the fun flamingo and sentiments using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and then I colored up the flamingo with my Copic markers. I then die cut the flamingo using a die from the Scallops & Banners {nesting dies}

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Flamingo: RV0000, RV10, RV11, RV14, BG10, BG02, BG13
Eyes: C00, C2, B00, B04, B29

My paper layers are from the beautiful Flutter Away {paper pack}. I am in love with the colors in these papers! And the feathers pair well with bird stamps! I just cut the feather & dot paper to 4 x 5-1/4" and cut my scrap of striped paper to 5-1/4" in length. Not sure what the width is since it was just a scrap. Those paper layers are adhered to a white A2 top fold card base.

The hilarious sentiment is popped up on the card with foam tape. Heehee! It's so fun! I stamped the Happy Retirement sentiment and then die cut it with the coordinating die called Happy Retirement {coordinating die}. I actually adhered this sentiment crooked and had to pull it up. What a mess!! It tore the paper underneath so I die cut a scrap of the same white card stock using the same die from the Scallops & Banners {nesting dies}. I trimmed it to just cover up the mess on the bottom of the banner. I then stamped and die cut the Happy Retirement sentiment again and this time I adhered it straight on the card. And bonus, it covered up the line on the banner to hide my fix! I added a little Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs and called this one done!
Love how this turned out! I hope you have an inkredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 49 ~ Transfer Gel Duo Spatters ~ Therm O Web

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back to share one last card for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 49 in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! I experimented a little bit and was pleasantly surprised that it worked! Hee hee! I'm sharing a fun ink blended and spattered Christmas card featuring some awesome crafty goodies from our amazing sponsor, Therm O Web! Therm O Web has generously offered up a $25 gift card as a prize for this month's challenge! There's still a few days to enter! They also shared an exclusive code with us for 10% OFF our orders on their website... use code BYSHC10.

I wasn't quite sure where this card was going until I got there! LOL! Do you ever have that happen to you?! I started with a vibrant background that I blended using Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks. I did a bit of water spatters on the background. And then I got to thinking how could I do some foiling spatters... oh, how fun it was to figure out how and then see that it worked!

While I was thinking about how I'd add foil spatters, I trimmed my background and die cut a scrap of Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink using the hill die from the Land Borders Die Set from Newton's Nook Designs. I adhered them together with iCraft UltraBond Adhesive and then set the panel aside. Next, I stamped the adorable critters from the fun exclusive 2024 STAMPtember set from Newton's Nook Designs and Simon Says Stamp called Happy Paw-lidays {sadly, it's sold out}. Speaking of Simon Says Stamp... I'm entering this fun card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes over on the SSS Blog.

I decided to Copic color the adorable kitty and stamped the sentiment using Wilted Violet Distress Ink. I actually stamped the sentiment on the card but I messed it up by pushing too hard. It happens! So I stamped the sentiment again, trimmed it up and popped it up on the card using iCraft 3D Foam Tape Jumbo Roll (white). I die cut the kitty using the coordinating Happy Paw-lidays die set and also popped up the kitty on the card. But I'm getting ahead of myself. The foil spatters created with Transfer Gel Duo and Silver Shattered Glass Deco Foil Transfer Sheets were done before the popping up of anything {check out the video below!}.

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used for the kitty:
Kitty: R00, R20, N0, N2, N4
Hat / Scarf: C00, C2, B00, B02, B04, B28
Present: V000, V12, V15, V17
Ribbon: RV10, RV11, RV14

You can check out the quick video showing how I made the fun foiled spatters here... Fun Foil Spatters | Transfer Gel Duo | Therm O Web.

Membership Wednesday ~ September 2024 UU Some Moments are Gold ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a quick Fall card featuring the lovely stamp from the September 2024 Uniquely Unity membership from Unity called Some Moments are Gold. A little heat embossing with repeat stamping plus some splatters... gotta love a quick card!

I started by prepping my Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink using the TE Anti-Static Powder Tool from Taylored Expressions. I stamped the sentiment first with Wow Clear Embossing Ink. I applied some Golden Gourd Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe over top the wet ink and then melted the powder with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I then stamped the pretty leaf multiple times over the background. I turned it this way and that... it almost feels like the leaves are falling.

I dusted the panel with the embossing powder and then melted all the powder with the heat tool. I love this embossing powder over the kraft. It gives it a nice yellow/orange gold color. I masked the sentiment with a piece of post it note. I added some spatters to the background using Bronze and Dark Roast Silk from Fun Stampers Journey. I heat set the spatters with the heat tool and then I die cut the panel using the largest scallop die from the BIG Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies}

The panel is adhered to a 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" piece of Early Espresso card stock from Stampin' Up. And then the whole panel is adhered to a Kraft A2 top fold card base. I don't know about you but I am so ready for Fall and this sentiment is me wishing it gets here soon!

Here's a quick look at this month's Uniquely Unity membership! SO beautiful!

That's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!
Hope you have an INKtastic day!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 26 ~ {Clearly Unity} Purr-Fect Time ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new sketch challenge! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 26 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I think this sketch will be another great one for scraps! I inked up the adorable {Clearly Unity} Purr-Fect Time stamp set from Unity! Have you ventured into the photopolymer stamps now available at Unity?! I love them! I've added a few to my stash and was excited to ink this one up!

I still have a few bits and pieces of scraps from the leftover papers I've been trying to finish off. I actually started making cards with those and didn't have pieces to work with for this sketch. So I saw this cute stamp by my desk and thought I'd pair it up with the adorable Love Kitties {paper pack}.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 26. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I had a few scraps in my paper pack but I ended up trimming them to 2-1/4 x 2-3/4".

I stamped the adorable {Clearly Unity} Purr-Fect Time kitty using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap of Stampers Select White card stock. I Copic colored up the kitty with N2, N4, and N6. I fussy cut the kitty and then stamped it again onto the pattern paper. I tore the pattern papers and adhered them to the 2-1/4 x 2-3/4" piece of spattered black pattern paper. I adhered all of my layers to a white A2 top fold card base, except for my focal panel. I added foam tape to the back of that and popped it up on the card.

I adhered the kitty directly to the papers. I thought about popping him up with some foam tape but didn't want to make the card too bulky. I stamped the sentiment, mat it with a scrap of the pattern paper and popped it up on the card too. This was such a fun card to make!

I hope you all have fun with this sketch! I can't wait to see what you create with it.
Have an ink-tastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #232 ~ Cozy Fall Theme Challenge Reminder

Hello there crafty friend!
There's still time to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #232 - Cozy Fall Theme Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, September 27th to get your entries in for this fun challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Such a fun theme!! I got so excited because our weather was cooling off and now we have a 90 degree day with the heat index putting us in the 100s. Ugh. I can't wait for Fall!

I started with my background using the Falling Leaves Stencil. I blended Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, and Vintage Photo Distress Inks over the stencil onto Kraft card stock. I also splattered a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the background. I die cut the background using the largest die from the Framework Die Set. Adhered it to a 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" piece of Dark Chocolate card stock from Papertrey Ink. I also die cut a scalloped frame using a die from that same set. I adhered the leaf panel to a Kraft A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2".

I stamped the cute book reading kitty from Newton's Reading List Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. And then I had fun coloring it up with Copic markers. Once I was happy with my coloring I die cut the kitty using the coordinating Newton's Reading List Die Set. I also stamped one of the cute mugs from the Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set, colored it up and then die cut it using the coordinating Cup of Cocoa Die Set that just arrived with my order! Yay for new crafty goodies! I used a sentiment from the Cup of Cocoa Stamp Set for the book cover. I love how it ties the images together!

I adhered the mug to the kitty and books. And then I adhered the ensemble to the frame. I added a whole bunch of foam tape to the back of the kitty ensemble and frame and then popped it up on the card. All that was left was a fall sentiment. So I went looking through the awesome new Autumn Reads Stamp Set and found the perfect sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment on the same Dark Chocolate card stock that I had die cut using a die from the Framework Die SetI prepped the card stock with the TE Anti-Static Powder Tool from Taylored Expressions. I stamped the sentiments using Sugar Cube White Pigment ink, also from Taylored Expressions. I then dusted the ink with Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe and melted the powder with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. Once it was cooled, I wiped off the remaining anti static powder using a microfiber cloth. I added foam to the back of the sentiment around the frame and then popped it up on the card.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with a Summer theme. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Membership Wednesday ~ September 2024 BOM Boo Brigade ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a fun ink smooshed card featuring the awesome ghost background stamp from the September 2024 Background of the Month membership from Unity called Boo Brigade. I love using yellowish greens for ghosts.

I started by ink smooshing a bit of Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron Distress Inks on a card front of Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey Ink. I left some white spots on the card front to coordinate a bit with the focal image and sentiment. I stamped the fun Boo Brigade background stamp using the Twisted Citron Distress Ink. And then I die cut the background using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies.

I stamped the sweet ghost from {Clearly Unity} Boo to You using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. So fun to have photopolymer stamps now! I die cut the ghost using a circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} and then I die cut the circle using the largest die from the Deckle & Stitches Nesting Dies. That way it had the same edge and I could just line it up with the edge when I adhered it to the card.

I Copic colored the ghost very simply with YG21, YG11 and a Colorless Blender; and for the pumpkin I used YR000 and YR15. I stamped the sentiment and fussy cut it. And then I adhered the sentiment to the half circle and added foam tape to the back of both and popped them up on the card. A quick and easy Halloween card for my stash! Love it!

Here's a quick look at this month's Background of the Month membership! So much fun!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!
Hope you have an inkredible day!

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 25 ~ Bobbie Sue Girl ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing more inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 25 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. I've made a few quick cards using the scraps I picked out a couple of weeks ago. And I still had Bobbie Sue Girl from Unity handy on my desk so I inked her up!

I love how fast these cards came together! I'm not usually one for using stickers on cards but they sure made for quick cards. I just need to add sentiments to cards with the stickers and they'll be all done.

Here's another look at the scraps I chose for September. Not Fall like I hoped, but Fall-ish colors and I do love the farm vibe. This is a photo from when I started with the leftover papers. I have just a few scraps left. I'm hoping to finish them up this month. We'll see!

I trimmed the floral paper for the chicken card I shared a couple weeks ago. I also trimmed the green paper and the ruler paper. I used the leftover pieces from that card plus a couple of the longer strips for my three cards today. I adhered the pattern papers to a 4 x 5-1/4" piece of thin white card stock. This was way easier than trying to adhere the pattern papers directly to the Kraft card base and eyeball to make sure I had them evenly spaced.

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 25. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I moved the sentiment for my card today. It just fit better under the ruler paper.

I stamped Bobbie Sue Girl and the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Yup, I used a different ink. It was on top of the stack and I was lazy! LOL! Anywho, I die cut the image using a circle die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I colored up the image with a bunch of Copic markers and then I blended my brown blending brush around the image. The white was too bright for the papers and the kraft base. It just didn't look right. I also blended or distressed the edges of the sentiment with the same brush. TIP: if you want to add just a tad bit of color, don't add ink to your blending brush. If you are like me, you leave your blending brushes unwashed and inky and they are perfect for just a little bit of color.

Here's a list of the Copic Markers I used:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair: E70, E71, E74
Dress: BG000, BG02, BG72
Apron: Y11, Y32
Chicken: R20, R14, E11, E13, E08

I popped up the circle and the sentiment using a bunch of foam tape. I love the dimension it gives to the card! This was such a fun and quick card! I hope you've been inspired to pull out those scraps and use them up! Have an inktastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #232 ~ Cozy Fall Theme Challenge

Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a new Inky Paws Challenge... a super fun Cozy Fall Theme Challenge! I sure hope that you'll play along with us using your Newton's Nook Designs products! You have until Friday, September 27th to get your entries in for the #232 Cozy Fall Theme Challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Awww... there's just something about Fall! I love the colors and the cozy vibes!
I'm so excited to see the entries for this challenge!

It's pretty obvious that the Harvest Haul Stamp Set is one of my absolute favorite stamps! I keep coming back to it. I thought it was perfect to pair up with the beautiful Autumn 6x6 Paper Pad. Another favorite of mine.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Apples: YG21, YG11, YG03, G14 Pumpkins: YR21, YR15, YR68, E51, E55, E57 Basket: E51, E55, E57 Truck: E51, E55, E57, B000, B00, B91 Brake Lights: R20, R14, R46 Tires: N2, N4, N6 Window / Mirror: C00, C3 Corn Stalks: Y11, Y15, Y38 Blanket: C00, C3, Y11, Y15, B000, B91

I used a whole bunch of dies for this card. The truck was stamped on a circle die cut from the Circle Frames Die Set. The pattern papers were die cut using dies from the Basic Frames Die Set. And the sentiment and base layer were die cut using dies from the Frames & Flags Die Set.

The sentiment is from the Cozy Home Stamp Set. I really love this sentiment. I've used it a few times. The sentiment is adhered directly to the card layers. The circle truck is popped up using a bunch of foam tape. I finished off the card with a few enamel dots from my stash.

You can check out my process video here... Cozy Fall Card | Inky Paws Challenge 232 | Newton's Nook Designs.

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project with a Cozy Fall theme. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Quick Splatter Background ~ Sending Christmas Smiles ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with one more card for Unity's latest release. I can't get enough of all the sweet holiday stamps!! The Sending Christmas Smiles snowman is just too cute!! I love it!! This cute stamp is also available in photopolymer... {Clearly Unity} Sending Christmas Smiles. I love the options of either red rubber or clear photopolymer!!

I stamped the cute snowman and sentiment using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and then I colored up the snowman with my Copic markers. I then fussy cut the snowman on the line, except for his arm. I left a bit of a white border so the arm wouldn't get lost in the dark background.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Snowman: C00, C1, C3
Nose: YR21, YR15, YR68
Hat: N2, N4, N6, B000, B00, B91, B23
Scarf: B000, B00, B91, B23

I thought I'd share the card that inspired my card for today. Do you ever CASE your own cards?! CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything. I thought it would be fun to CASE my snowman card from last year. I've been asked several times how I made this card last year so I thought it was a perfect excuse to do it again and record my progress.

This is such a simple card design! I love how quick it comes together! And it's perfect for the big stamps like the new Sending Christmas Smiles snowman and last year's Something About Christmas snowman. It would even work well with The List Guy. The only difference between the two cards, other than the card stock and the stamp, is that I didn't splatter the snowman on the Something About Christmas card.

You can check out my process video for this card here... Quick Splatter Background | Sending Christmas Smiles | Unity Stamp Co.

I adhered all of my layers together and called this one done! Love how this turned out! I hope you have an inkredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky hugs,
Crystal
