~ Friends of Unity October 2020 Blog Hop ~

 Hello there crafty friend!

Welcome to the October 2020 Friends of Unity Blog Hop!! We have a great cue this month...

Birthday!! Such a perfect cue because we all make birthday cards! And we're always in need of more birthday cards for our stash! I sure hope you're inspired by the all the creations shared by our friends! I have a couple cards to share with you using a couple new releases from Unity.

My first card is using the gorgeous new October 2020 Uniquely Unity kit called Greetings of Autumn for a pretty Autumn inspired birthday card. I used a pretty piece of paper from the beautiful Falling Leaves {paper pack} that I mat on white card stock and then adhered to a scalloped rectangle die cut from Kraft card stock. I adhered my entire panel to a white A2 top-fold card base.

I colored up the beautiful image with Copic markers:
Acorns ~ E53, E55, E57, E59
Flowers ~ Y11, Y15, Y35, YR14, YR15, YR21, YR23, YR68, E57, YG03, YG63, YG67
Leaves ~ Y11, Y15, YR15, YR21, E21, E23, YG03, YG63, YG67
Frame ~ E21, E23

And then I stamped the sentiment from the Your Happy Cake Itty Bitty set in the center of the hexagon.
Popped up the image on the card and done! I really love how this one turned out!

My second card is a beautiful Eclipse card inspired by some Sepia art that I was admiring on Pinterest and I used the absolutely stunning Daisy Days background. I love the look of it and especially love it with these flowers!  I used just a few Copic markers ~ E50, E53, E55, E59. I then die cut it with the Pleated Lace Rectangle die from Gina Marie Designs and the Happy Birthday die from Simon Says Stamp.

I die cut the Happy Birthday die from Dark Chocolate card stock three more times. I then adhered the background piece to a Dark Chocolate card front that I had adhered to a white A2 top-fold card base. I adhered the negatives for the Happy Birthday die that was cut from the Daisy Days background so that the design of the background flowed.

I then adhered the Happy Birthday die cuts in Dark Chocolate... all three layers and then adhered the final layer with the Daisy Days background. I am so pleased with this card! I hope you like it too and that it inspires you to try an eclipse card or maybe give a sepia card a try!

I'm thinking I'm overdue for a giveaway here on my blog... I'll chose a lucky winner from the comments and announce the winner during next month's hop. Be sure to hop and comment on all the blogs for a chance to win one of our giveaways!!
