Membership Wednesday Tags ~ Unity October 2024 KOM Sweet Bliss of Christmas ~ Unity Stamp Co.

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing three pretty holiday tags featuring fantastic stamps from the October 2024 Kit of the Month called Sweet Bliss of Christmas. These were pretty quick to make and so much fun!

The tags are die cut from Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink using dies from the Scalloped Tags die {looks like they are out of stock}. I also die cut slightly smaller tags from the Festive Christmas {paper pack}. The sweet deer is die cut from the papers. Love it! All of the edges are distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I stamped the stockings using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs. I colored them up with my Copic markers and then fussy cut them leaving a white border around the images. I also distressed the edges with a bit of Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Poinsettia: R20, R14, R27, Y15
Greenery: YG11, G24, G46
Tree: YG11, G24, G46, E55, E57
Star: Y15
Poinsettia Stocking: C00, C2, R20
Tree Stocking: C00, C2, R20, R14, R27

The sentiments are all heat embossed with my favorite combo. I prepped the Kraft card stock using the TE Anti-Static Powder Tool from Taylored Expressions. Stamped the sentiment using the Sugar Cube White Pigment ink from Taylored Expressions, and added Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I then melted the embossing powder using my Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I trimmed them all up and adhered the two with the stockings directly to the tag. The sentiment on the deer tag is popped up with foam tape. I just realized I completely forgot to add the ribbon and twine before taking photos... ooops! I'll likely add white ribbon and some festive red and white twine.

Here's a quick look at this month's Kit of the Month membership! So in love with this month's KOM!!

Well, that's it for me today! I hope you've been inspired to play with your membership stamps!
Hope you have an ink-tastic day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 27 ~ Merry Whatever ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's time for a fun, new sketch challenge! Today I'm sharing my first card for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group. Another great sketch for scraps! I inked up the hilarious Merry Whatever kitty from Unity!

I paired up the funny kitty with the beautiful Watercolor Winter {paper pack}, also from Unity. I had these purr-fect paper scraps in my paper pack. LOL!

Here's a look at the fun sketch for Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 27. The sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. I'm not even sure what the measurements of my paper scraps are... I do know that they were all 4" wide.

I stamped the fun kitty with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs and colored him up with my Copic markers. There's so much detail to this kitty that coloring is a breeze. Not to mention there's no need to color the antlers or really the hat if you don't want to. But I decided to color the hat to coordinate a bit with the colors in the papers.

Here's a super quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Kitty: N0, N2, N4, R00, R20
Eyes: YG11, YG25
Hat: R20, R14, R27

I fussy cut and adhered the kitty directly to the card. I heat embossed the sentiment on Pure Poppy card stock from Papertrey Ink. Die cut it with a die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting dies. I added a strip of foam tape to the back and popped it up on the card. I finished off the card with a few bits of red confetti from the Hologram Red Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs. This was such a super quick and fun card to make!

I hope you all have fun with this sketch! I can't wait to see what you create with it.
Have an inktastic week!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Inky Paws Challenge #233 ~ Color Challenge {Week 4}

Hello there crafty friend!
There's just a few more days to play along with the Inky Paws Challenge #233 - Color Challenge! You have until this coming Friday, November 1st to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Such an amazing color combo... Burnt Orange, Olive Green, Slate Gray, and Ivory!! I have had so much fun with this color combo! I hope you've enjoyed my inspiration and played along with us!

For my last bit of inspiration for the Color Challenge, I've made a bookmark. I love making bookmarks as gifts for my friends! And it's been awhile since I've made some so I thought with Christmas coming I'd make a few to add to their gift packages. I die cut a piece of Stampers Select White card stock from Papertrey ink two times using the die from the Bookmark II Die Set. I also die cut a piece of gray argyle pattern papers from the awesome Black & White Basics 6x6 Paper Pad. I trimmed one of the white bookmarks to show a bit of the argyle pattern underneath and then I adhered all three layers together. The second white bookmark is flipped around and adhered to the back of the bookmark so it's nice and clean looking on both sides.

I die cut a bunch of the fun books from white card stock using a couple dies from the Bookmark II Die Set. And then I colored them with my Copic markers. I used the colors I've pretty much been using all month for the color challenge inspiration. I just had to top the books with a cup of coffee so I stamped the cute mug from Never Enough Books Stamp Set and die cut it using the coordinating mug die from the Never Enough Books Die Set.

I stamped the TRUE sentiment {hee hee} from Never Enough Books Stamp Set at the base of my top white bookmark and then I adhered all the books and the mug. I found a pretty gray ribbon from my stash called Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon {from Stampin' Up... it's been in my stash forever}. And then I tied a little White Baker's Twine {also from SU}. I just love how this turned out!

Now it's your turn to get your paws inky with your Newton's Nook Designs products and create a project using the color combo of Burnt Orange, Olive Green, Slate Gray, and Ivory. Be sure to link up to the Inky Paws Challenge! Can't wait to see your projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

{BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 50 ~ Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Simple Christmas Trees ~ A Colorful Life Designs

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with more inspiration for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 50 over in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group! Today I'm sharing a fun Christmas card featuring two fabulous stencils from our amazing sponsor A Colorful Life Designs! A Colorful Life Designs has generously offered up a $25 gift card as a prize for the {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 50 this month! So fabulous!!

I started with my background for this card. I scored a 4-1/4 x 11" piece of Kraft card stock from Papertrey Ink at 5-1/2" for an A2 card base. I secured my card to my glass table with purple tape and then I laid the Arctic Snow Stencil from our amazing Sponsor A Colorful Life Designs over the top and lightly blended using my brown distress ink blending brush. I didn't even bother with adding any more ink. The snowflakes fade out towards the mug. I love the effect!

I replaced the stencil with the Simple Christmas Trees Stencil, also from A Colorful Life Designs, and blended Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink over top. I love this fun tree design! I removed the stencil and then distressed the edges of the card using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I love the vintage vibe it gives the card!

I stamped the sentiment from A Wintry Hello from our lovely Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. using the Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink. I trimmed the sentiment and adhered it to the card using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from our fab Sponsor Therm O Web. The fun ephemera piece is from our wonderful Sponsor Not 2 Shabby and it's called A Shabby Christmas. I distressed the edges with my brown blending brush just to tame the brightness of the white. I finished off the card with a few red confetti pieces from the Crystal Iris Cranberry Card Bling from A Colorful Life Designs.

Here's a look at {BYSHC} Sketch Challenge 50 for the month of October. Loving this sketch! There's just under a week left to play along with us. If you're interested in seeing a bit more inspiration for this sketch, check out the amazing inspiration from the design team over on the {BYSH} Cardmakers blog! Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Snow Angel Newton ~ Newton's Nook Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 7 of the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! I'm super excited to share another sweet card that I've made to add to my holiday stash this week! I just added the adorable Snow Angel Newton Stamp Set from our fabulous Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs to my collection and I just HAD to ink him up! Isn't he just the cutest?!

I die cut white card stock using the large zig zag frame die from the Frames & Tags Die Set. I heat embossed the snowflakes using my favorite combination of products... I stamped the sentiment using the Sugar Cube White Pigment ink from Sponsor Taylored Expressions, and added Alabaster White Embossing powder from Brutus Monroe. I then melted the embossing powder using my Wagner Precision Heat Tool. And then I blended a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink over the area making sure to cover the snowflakes. This helped the snowflakes to pop on the background.

I stamped the adorable Snow Angel Newton Stamp Set in my mini misti using the fabulous Pressure Pal from our awesome Sponsor Twiddler's Nook. I colored up the kitty with some Copic markers and then I die cut him using a die from the Snow Angel Newton Die Set. I really wanted to add a wobble spring but I couldn't find my small ones and the big ones were just too big. If I ever find them, I'm definitely copying this card and adding the wobble spring!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Kitty: R00, R20, YR21, YR15, YR27
Hat / Scarf: C00, C2, V000, V12, Colorless Blender
Snow: B0000, B00, Colorless Blender

I die cut the sentiment twice from white card stock using the Merry Christmas Die Set. I used my blue TE Blender Brush to ink up one of the sentiments just a little bit leaving some white. I adhered the sentiments together usinthe Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. And then I adhered all of my layers to a white A2 card base using the iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from Sponsor Therm O Web.

The Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party is coming to an end!! Tomorrow is the last day to enter the linky party! I have thoroughly enjoyed the inspiration being shared! I hope you'll join in the fun! Have an ink-tastic day!

Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Unity October 2024 KOM Sweet Bliss of Christmas ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's always so surprising to me how fast the last few days of the Linky Party just zip on by! We are nearing the end of the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party! I'm super happy to be adding so many cards to my stash! I hope you've been inspired to play along with us. My card today features a couple of stamps from the October 2024 Kit of the Month called Sweet Bliss of Christmas from our amazing Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. It's also Membership Wednesday... a fun day to share inspiration for the awesome memberships over at Unity! I just had to ink up the beautiful tree stamp from this month's fab KOM! Good news!! The KOM membership is now available for Canadian shoppers!! Woohoo!!

I had a fun idea for a simple shaped card. Actually it came to mind while I was sleeping and woke me up! That was so crazy! I was trying to figure out a card design when I was falling asleep so it only makes sense that the idea would wake me up! LOL

I die cut my base first using the largest die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies}. I had a 8-1/2 x 4-1/4" piece of Pure Poppy card stock from Papertrey Ink that I scored at 4-1/4" for a square base. I placed the die over the closed/folded card base and secured it with washi tape so that the die didn't cut through the top of the fold. I die cut another red circle for my top layer. And then I die cut a piece of Stampers Select White card stock using the next smallest circle die from the same set.

I stamped the wonderful tree using Crushed Olive Distress Ink. I used the corner of the Walnut Stain Distress Ink pad to ink up the trunk of the tree. I wiped off the excess on the branches and then stamped it. I think it adds a subtle touch of brown for the trunk. I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment using Candied Apple Distress Ink. And then I stamped the Full of Merry sentiment from the September 2024 KOM called Wander and Wonder using the same red ink. I fussy cut both of the sentiments. I adhered all of my circle layers using the iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from Sponsor Therm O Web. I added foam tape from Therm O Web called iCraft 3D Foam Tape Jumbo Roll (white) to both of the sentiments and popped them up on the card.

I finished off the card with a bunch of red confetti from the Hologram Red Card Bling from Sponsor A Colorful Life Designs. Pretty much all of the confetti is adhered over the ornaments on the tree stamp. I think I may have added two extras just to balance out the tree a bit. It was so fun making a circle shaped card!

I hope you'll stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful holiday inspiration being shared! Seeing all the inspiration makes me want to just make more cards! I sure hope you'll stop by and check it out! Have a fabulINK day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ TOPII Sketch 26 ~ Holiday Sweater Mug ~ Jaded Blossom

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 5 of the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! I'm always surprised at how fast the Linky Party goes by! I can't believe we're over halfway through! My card today features the super cute Holiday Sweater Mug stamp set from our wonderful Sponsor Jaded Blossom. I'm also sharing inspiration for the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch Challenge 26 in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook group.

I paired up the pretty mug with the gorgeous Sparkling Christmas Wishes 6x6 Paper Pad from our Sponsor Not 2 Shabby! These papers are SO gorgeous!! I adhered all of my pattern paper layers using the iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from Sponsor Therm O Web. I added foam tape from Therm O Web called iCraft 3D Foam Tape Jumbo Roll (white) to the back of the pretty mug.

The pretty plaid background paper was die cut with the largest die from the Frayed Edge Stacklets from Taylored Expressions. You may recognize the sentiment that I used on my card yesterday. It was perfect for this card too. It's from the Flurries of Love stamp set from Sponsor Pink & Main, an exclusive STAMPtember stamp from Simon Says Stamp. So I inked it up again and die cut it using a stitched die from the Scalloped & Stitched Sentiment Nesting Dies from Sponsor Unity. I stamped both of these clear photopolymer stamps in my mini misti using the awesome Pressure Pal from Sponsor Twiddler's Nook. I love this handy tool for helping me stamp my clear stamps!

As I mentioned above, my card design is inspired by the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Sketch 26. This has been a fun sketch to play with! There's still some time to play along with the challenge if you're interested. I host this fun sketch challenge in the Tawny Owl Paperie Inky Inspiration Facebook groupThe sketch, as always, is meant to inspire not require. So let the sketch lead in your design, but don't feel limited by it. For example, I moved the sentiment on my card today.

I finished off the card with Hologram Red Card Bling from Sponsor A Colorful Life Designs. The perfect final touch! Love how this card turned out!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Poinsettias: R20, R14
Stars / Diamonds: G00, G82
Mug: C00, C2
Coffee: E21, E23, E25

I really hope you'll stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! So many fabulous cards! Have an INKcredible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Flurries of Love ~ Pink & Main

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 4 of the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! I'm having so much fun seeing all the wonderful entries in the linky party! Today I'm adding another cute card to my Christmas stash! This time I played with the super cute Flurries of Love stamp set from Sponsor Pink & Main that was an exclusive stamp for STAMPtember over at Simon Says Stamp. It was just too cute for me pass up! If you love this stamp set, check out Hello Winter over at Pink & Main... some super adorable and cute snowmen stamps! Just saying!

I paired up the cute Flurries of Love with the Knit Picky 6x6 Petite Paper Pad from our Sponsor Lawn Fawn! These pretty papers aren't available anymore. But they do have some similar papers called Knit Picky Winter Petite Paper Pack. I love these pretty papers! I've had them for quite awhile and thought it would be fun to use some of the scraps for the paper scrap quilting technique that Jenni Shamblin shared for our last linky party. It's a great technique for scrap papers.

I had hoped to share a video for this technique but time has not been on my side. But the basic idea is to adhere strips of pattern paper diagonally to a piece of copy paper leaving a little space in between the paper strips. I used a 8-1/2 x 5-1/2" piece of copy paper and just went all the way across with my strips of paper. I used 1/2" strips of pattern paper for the card I shared earlier this month for the Friends of Unity Blog Hop. But for this card I used 3/4" strips of pattern paper and then I cut the paper into 3.4" strips. And then I adhered the strips again to a piece of copy paper leaving a bit of white space between the strips. I then die cut the panel using the largest die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from our lovely Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. All of my papers layers are adhered using the iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from Sponsor Therm O Web.

I stamped the cute images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them up with my Copics. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and then adhered them to a white stitched circle that I die cut using a die from the Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity. I also die cut a red mat using a die from that set from Pure Poppy card stock from Papertrey Ink. I then added foam tape called iCraft 3D Foam Tape Jumbo Roll from Therm O Web to the back of the circles and popped the focal image up on the card. To finish off the card I added a bit of red bling from the Hologram Red Card Bling from Sponsor A Colorful Life Designs. I just love how this card turned out!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Snowman: C00, C2, R00, R20, YR15
Snowman Hat: N2, N4, N6, R20, R14, R46
Scarves: YG11, G24, G46
Penguin: C00, C2, N2, N4, N6, R00, R20
Penguin Hat: C00, C2, R20, R14, R46
Mug: R20, R14, R46, G00, G02, G05, G16
Hearts: R14

If you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! So much amazing inspiration! You can't help but be inspired to make a card or two! I sure hope you'll join in the fun! Have an ink-tastic week!

Inky Paws Challenge #233 ~ Color Challenge {Week 3}

Hello there crafty friend!
Sharing some more inspiration for the Inky Paws Challenge #233 - Color Challenge! You have until next Friday, November 1st to get your entries in for the challenge and a chance to win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Such a gorgeous color combo for Fall... Burnt Orange, Olive Green, Slate Gray, and Ivory!!

This time I'm sharing an Autumn inspired card featuring the Autumn Reads Stamp Set. The bottom leaf was cut off when I die cut the image using a die from the Circle Frames Die Set. So I stamped the bottom portion of the image focusing mostly on the leaf and then die cut it using the leaf die from the coordinating Autumn Reads Die Set. I love that it's the same size as the extra leaf in the stamp set!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used:
Mug: YG61, YG63, E40, E81
Coffee: E51, E55
Orange Book: E40, E81, YR21, YR15, YR16, C00, C2
Gray Book: N0, N2, N4, YG61, YG63
Leaves: YR21, YR15, YR16, YR27, E40, E81, E51, E55, E57, YG61, YG63

My pretty plaid paper layer is a pattern paper from the beautiful Autumn Meows 6x6 Paper Pad. I die cut it using a die from the Basic Frames Die Set. I also die cut a piece of Really Rust card stock from Stampin' Up using the largest stitched and scalloped die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. Since I was covering up the center of that card stock, I went ahead and die cut my stitched and scalloped circle mat using a die from the Circle Frames Die Set

My gray heat embossed leaf layer actually started the whole card. I used the beautiful Falling Leaves Stencil and blended Clear Embossing ink over the stencil on Smokey Shadow card stock from Papertrey Ink. And then I sprinkled Golden Gourd Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe and melted it with a heat tool. I die cut the panel using the stitched banner die from the Basic Frames Die Set. I die cut a piece of Really Rust card stock using the large banner die from the Frames & Flags Die Set. The wonderful sentiment from the Never Enough Books Stamp Set was also heat embossed using
my favorite combination of products for white heat embossing... I prepped the card stock with the TE Anti Static Powder Tool and stamped the sentiments with Sugar Cube White Pigment ink, both from Taylored Expressions. I dusted the ink with Alabaster White Embossing Powder and then melted the powder with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool. I adhered the sentiment banner to the back of the circle and then I popped up both pieces using foam tape. All the other layers are adhered together using a liquid glue and then adhered to a Smokey Shadow A2 card base.

Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Nutcracker Dolls ~ Not 2 Shabby

 Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 3 of the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party!! I'm excited to share another sweet card that I've made to add to my Christmas stash! This time I played with the adorable Nutcracker Dolls Stamp Set from our fabulous Sponsor Not 2 Shabby! {Sadly, this cute stamp set is no longer available} I've had this super cute stamp set in my collection for awhile and finally inked up one of the adorable dolls! Love it!

It was so much fun trying to color up this cutie with similar colors to the nutcrackers in the fun Christmas Time 6x6 Paper Pad from our lovely Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs. I love when I can use goodies from multiple crafty companies... it's a fab mashup and just SO much fun!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used for the Nutcracker Doll:
Skin: E000, E00, E11
Hair / Beard: C00, C2
Yellows: Y11, Y15, Y28
Teal: BG02, BG13, BG57, BG18
Black: N2, N4, N6

All of my layers are adhered using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from Sponsor Therm O Web. I used True Black card stock from Papertrey Ink and Island Indigo card stock from Stampin' Up. All of my measurements are directly from one of our past {BYSHC} sketches {below}. I did change up the sketch a bit... I die cut a circle of Vellum card stock from Papertrey Ink using a die from the X Stitched Circle dies from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. Unfortunately, these don't seem to be available anymore.

I went WAY BACK for my inspiration for today's card... I used {BYSHC} Sketch 7! Have you visited the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group? We host a fun sketch challenge each month to inspire our holiday cardmaking all year long. I love using sketches for my cards... it makes designing the cards so easy!

The sweet sentiment is from a cute stamp set from our fantastic Sponsor Gina K. Designs called Wishing You Mini. I paired up a couple of the sentiments and heat embossed them on black card stock. I prepped the card stock with the TE Anti-Static Powder Tool from our wonderful Sponsor Taylored Expressions. I stamped the sentiments using Sugar Cube Pigment Ink, also from Taylored Expressions. I sprinkled Alabaster White Embossing Powder from Brutus Monroe over the wet ink and then melted the powder with a Wagner Precision Heat Tool.

If you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2024 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! I have so many wonderful ideas for future cards! So inspiring! I hope you have an ink-redible day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal
