Spooktacular Halloween with the October 2022 Kit of the Month ~ Unity Stamp Co.

Happy Halloween crafty friend!
Wishing you and your family a spooktacular Halloween! Today I'm sharing a bit more inspiration for the October 2022 Kit of the Month. I've paired it up with a couple past KOMs from my stash to make a fun mixed media Halloween card.

I started by stamping one of the texture stamps from the October 2022 KOM on a full sheet of white card stock with embossing ink. I added some clear embossing powder to the ink and melted the powder with a heat tool.

I then ink smooshed the card front using Carved Pumpkin, Rusty Hinge, and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide inks. I added some water splatters by spritzing water in the palm of my hand and clapping over the card stock. I dabbed the extra water with a paper towel. And then dried the card stock with a heat tool.

I stamped the tree from the September 2013 Kit of the Month called Happiness Has No Limit. I then stamped the witch from the August 2013 Kit of the Month called Cozy Moments. I stamped the large texture stamp from the October 2022 KOM first with Rusty Hinge oxide ink and then with Black Soot oxide ink. I love the added texture this gives the card.

To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink on black card stock and heat embossed some white embossing powder. I trimmed it up and popped it up on the card. I cut the panel to 3-3/4 x 5" and mat it with orange and then purple card stock measuring 1/8" more each layer. I then adhered the layers to a black card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". And adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base measuring 4-1/4 x 11"; scored at 5-1/2". You can check out my process video here... Spooktacular Halloween with the October 2022 Kit of the Month | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's a look at the whole Kit of the Month for October!! So amazing! I love when the Kit of the Month comes to my house each month!

Hope you've been inspired to get inky with your October Kit of the Month and mix it up a bit with some of the other KOMs in your stash! Have a safe and fun Halloween friends!

Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Sweater Weather ~ Newton's Nook Designs

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with my last card for the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party! My card for today features a mix of products from a few of our linky party Sponsors. The adorable kitty from the Sweater Weather stamp set is from return Sponsor Newton's Nook Designs. This cutie is a favorite of mine and I've used him on a few different projects.

The adorable presents paper from the Meowy Christmas 6x6 paper pad is also from Newton's Nook Designs. And the cute sentiment from The Nutcracker Squeak stamp set, also from Newton's Nook Designs. The awesome Snowglobe Die is from return Sponsor Jaded Blossom. I've been itching to use this die and was excited to finally give it a try. It's lots of fun! I'm hoping to use it again soon!

I made the Christmas using the Stitched & Layered Christmas Tree dies from brand new Sponsor Kat Scrappiness. I've had this wonderful die for awhile and I've only used it a couple times so I was super excited to play with it again. The tree is cut from white card stock and copic colored each piece. The tree actually has 5 layers but that was too big for the snow globe so I went with 4 layers. Such a fun die! The adorable peppermint clay embellishments I added for ornaments on my tree are from return Sponsor Twiddler's Nook

Here's a quick list of the Copic Markers I used:

Star ~ Y06, Y15, Y35
Tree ~ YG11, G24, G46
Snow Globe ~ B0000, B000
Snow Globe Base ~ E53, E55, E57, E59 on Kraft card stock
Sentiment Plate ~ R20, R14, R37
Newton's Fur ~ YR0000, YR21, YR24
Newton's Nose ~ RV10, RV21
Newton's Clothes ~ R20, R14, R37, YG11, G24, C00, C2

I stamped the sentiment with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Sponsor Taylored Expressions and heat embossed a white embossing powder that added to the inked sentiment. I popped up the sentiment plate with foam tape and added a couple white enamel dots from the Celebrate Christmas enamel dots from Echo Park Paper Co. I just love how this card turned out!

I've had so much fun creating, sharing, and checking out all the fab cards being shared for the Linky Party! I hope you'll stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ October Sketch Challenge ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back for day 7 of the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party and I'm also sharing inspiration for the October Sketch Challenge over at the Unity Show & Tell Facebook group! I am hosting the challenges over there for the next couple of months. I'd love for you to join us over there and play along.

So my first card today features the adorable Oh Hey There, Winter. A super cute snowman stamp! I just love him! I paired him up with the beautiful Brilliant Blizzard {paper pack}. The blues in these papers are so lovely and there's a wonderful mix of snowflakes.

I mat the papers with white card stock to help the snowflakes pop on the card. The contrast of the bold black sentiment circle also helps the sentiment pop on the card.

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this cute snowman:

Snowman ~ BG70, C00, C2, YR21, YR15, R000, R20
Hat ~ BG70, BG72, BG75, BG90, C00, C2
Scarf / Mittens / Boots ~ BG70, BG72, BG75, BG90
Heart ~ R000, R20, R14

I'm entering my winter card into the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party

I hope that you'll stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!!

Now my second card is purely for the Unity October Sketch Challenge and all about Fall!! This one features the gorgeous Bountiful Fall Itty Bitty stamp. I paired up this beautiful pumpkin stamp with the Fall Y'all {paper pack}. I love the polka dots in the papers and around the pumpkin! It just brings the design of the card all together.

I die cut the pumpkin using one of the brand new stitched square dies from the Scallops & Squares {nesting dies}. How pretty are all these patterns together?! So fun!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this gorgeous pumpkin:

 Hello there crafty friend!
I can't believe that it's day 6 of the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party already! Time is just zipping on by... I hope that you are having fun and building your stash along with us! Today I'm sharing a card using the beautiful new digi stamp from return Sponsor Angie Blom Digital Designs called Joy and Noel!

This beautiful digi is so fun to color! I went with a bit of a rainbow theme so I chose the Really Rainbow Christmas papers from Sponsor Lawn Fawn. I don't believe these papers are available anymore but Lawn Fawn just released some really pretty new knit papers!! I love knit papers!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this beautiful digi stamp:

'J' and 'Y' ~ C00, C2, C3, R20, R14, R27
Bell ~ Y11, Y15, Y35, Y28, Y06
Bow ~ YG11, G24, G46
Lights ~ B000, B00, B02, Y11, Y15, YG11, G14, V000, V12, V15, R20, R14, R27

I die cut the panel with the largest die from the Pleated Lace Rectangles dies from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. One of my favorite die sets from Gina Marie Designs!

I added some sparkle to the bell with Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer pen. You can see a tiny bit of sparkle in this photo. I also added a bit of shine to the cute lights with some Ranger Glossy Accents.

Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Winter Cardinals ~ Pink & Main

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a sweet Christmas card for the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party using an adorable stamp set called Winter Cardinals from our brand new Sponsor Pink & Main! I just adore this cute stamp set and couldn't wait to ink it up!

To create my background I used the Simple Stripes: Diagonal die from return Sponsor Lawn Fawn. This awesome die is great for those strips of scrap pattern papers. Keep in mind you do need a few long strips but I used mostly scraps for this one. I think the polka dot papers was the only one that was a full 6x6 sheet. I used my favorite paper pack for this card ~ the White Winter {paper pack} from Unity. I can't help but reach for it again and again! I love the pretty greens and especially that knit green background... I. Love. It!!

I stamped the adorable cardinal on white card stock with Black Amalgam ink from Gina K Designs. I colored up this cutie with the following Copic Markers:

Cardinal ~ R20, R14, R27, W00, W2, YR21, YR15
Scarf ~ YG11, G24, G46
Branch ~ C00, C2, C3, G24, G46

I die cut the cardinal with the third largest die from the brand new Scallops & Circles {nesting dies} from Unity! I also die cut a piece of Vellum card stock with the second largest stitched circle die from the same die set. I adhered them together and then cut off the right edge. I stamped the sentiment and mat it on a scrap of pattern paper. Both the focal image and sentiment are just adhered to the card... no foam tape this time. I did add a scrap of card stock under the left side of the sentiment so it would lay flat.

My inspiration for my card design was past {BYSHC} Sketch 11 - I did omit the strip under the circle. If you enjoy fun sketches join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook groupWe host a fun sketch challenge each month to inspire our holiday cardmaking all year long. I love revisiting the sketches!

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Pink & Main and check out the fabulous new October releases!! Woohoo!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! Halloween Series 2022 ~ Have a Killer Halloween ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I am back with my final post for my Halloween Series 2022 and today I have a fun card that I've been wanting to make forever!! I just love the Cuddlebug stamps from Unity Stamp Co. and couldn't resist these adorable Halloween stamps when they released but I've always thought it would be super fun to make a card with all of them together!

Aren't they the cutest?! I stamped the Bride of Frank first... you know, ladies first! LOL. I actually wanted her in the front just a little bit so I stamped her first and then I also stamped a mask for her. I fussy cut the mask and placed it over her. And then I stamped Count. No mask for him since he's on the end. Woo hoo!

I kept the mask on Bride of Frank and stamped Mummy... I didn't want to lose his little spider friend so I didn't have them overlap too much. And then I stamped a mask for Mummy. I fussy cut that one too and then I stamped Frank.

Now a good tip for when you are cutting masks is to cut on the line. Even cutting most of the black line is okay because when the second image is stamped the height difference in the papers will make it to where there's a little gap between images. If you cut away some of that black line there's less of that gap. Another good tip is to have a Black Copic Multi Liner pen... I had a couple spots where there were gaps so I used my 0.03 Copic Multi Liner pen to draw those lines back in. Easy peasy!

My list of Copic markers this time isn't quick... there was a lot of coloring. I think it took me about an hour. Maybe a tiny bit more to color all these cuties. Here's the list of Copics I used:

Count ~ E000, E00, E11 {skin}; N4, N2 {hair}; V000, V12, V15, V17 {clothes}; N0, N2, N4, N6 {boots}; N0, N2, N4, N6, R20, R14, YG11, YG21{cloak}; YG11, YG03, E31, E35 {bottle}; R20, R14, R27 {spider}; YG11, YG03, YG21 {frog}
Bride of Frank ~ E000, E00, E11, E04 {skin}; C00, C2 {hair}; R000, R14, R20, R27, V000, V12, V15, V17 {clothes}; R20, R14, N2, N4 {heart}; N2, N4 {bolts}
Mummy ~ E000, E00, E11 {skin}; YG11, C00, C2 {cloth}; N0, N2, N4, YG11 {spider}
Frank ~ YG21, YG11, YG03 {skin}; YG11, YG03, N2, N4, N6 {bolts}; E31, E34, E35, E37 {clothes}; N0, N2, N4, N6 {boots}; N4 {hair}
Ground ~ N0, N2, N4

I just love how this turned out! I had hoped to color a background but time has not been on my side so maybe I'll add one but for now it's done. This is a large card measuring 6-1/2 x 9"; scored at 4-1/2". Because of the size I went with a simple black card front. The sentiment is from the Bride of Frank. I stamped it with Sugar Cube Pigment ink on True Black card stock and heat embossed some Alabaster White embossing powder.

I hope that you've enjoyed my Halloween Series for 2022! I've enjoyed getting inky with some of my Halloween stamps. I'll be back a little later this morning with my Christmas card for today.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Membership Monday ~ Emboss Resist Technique ~ October 2022 Kit of the Month ~ Unity Stamp Co.

 Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with more inspiration for the October 2022 Kit of the Month! Today I'm sharing a CAS card using the Emboss Resist Technique. A fun technique that can create layers in your focal piece. So fun!

I started by masking my card front of white card stock with iCraft Removable Pixie Tape. This also secured the card front to my surface. I stamped the dotted leaves a couple times each with embossing ink. I added some clear embossing powder to the leaves and melted the powder with a heat tool.

I then blended Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide inks over the embossed leaves. I added another layer to the background by stamping a few more leaves with clear embossing ink and then heat embossed some clear embossing powder over those. A bit more ink blending with Wild Honey, Vintage Photo, and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks.

My last layer of leaves was stamped with Black Soot and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks. I also stamped the sentiment with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. Such a fun technique and so wonderful for a Fall card! You can check out my video sharing this technique here... Emboss Resist Technique | October 2022 Kit of the Month | Unity Stamp Co.

Here's a look at the whole Kit of the Month for October!! So amazing! I love when the Kit of the Month comes to my house each month!

Hope you've been inspired to get inky with your October Kit of the Month and if you haven't received yours yet, why not try the emboss resist technique with stamps from a past KOM! I just love this technique. I hope you'll give it a try.

Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Decorative Ornaments ~ Pretty Pink Posh

 Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a beautiful card for the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party using a beautiful ornament stamp called Decorative Ornaments and a wonderful stencil called Layered Winter Foliage from brand new Sponsor Pretty Pink Posh. I just love how this card turned out!

I started by stamping the beautiful ornaments. I used Memento Tuxedo ink and Copic colored the ornaments with the following Copic Markers:

Greens ~ YG11, G24, G46
Pinks ~ R000, R20
Reds ~ R000, R20, R14, R27

I used the coordinating Decorative Ornaments dies to die cut the ornaments. I punched a hole in the top with a 1/16" circle punch and thread {Natural} May Arts Burlap string from Unity Stamp Co. through the holes. I tied pretty bows at the top of each ornament and set them aside.

The Layered Winter Foliage Stencils is actually a 3 pack set of stencils... loved how easy it was to use! I started with the pinecones and blended Tea Dye Distress Oxide ink. It took just a minute to adjust my second stencil with the leaves and I ink blended Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide ink. I placed the third stencil over the card front and blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink and just a tiny bit of Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink. I used a very light hand with all of my blending and it gave me this beautiful almost pastel background... I love it!

I die cut the card front with the second largest die from the Big and Little Chain Rectangle die set from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs. I added foam tape to the backs of the ornaments and secured the ends of the string to the back of the panel using scotch tape. I removed the backing from the foam tape and popped up the ornaments. I adhered the panel to a Kraft A2 top fold card base using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from new Sponsor Therm O Web. Love it!

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Pretty Pink Posh... so many beautiful holiday stencils and stamps were just released!! Woohoo!! And if you haven't already, stop by the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party to check out all the wonderful Holiday inspiration being shared!! Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party ~ Stellar Snowflake Stencil ~ Gina K Designs

  Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a pretty card for the Falling for the Holidays 2022 {BYSHC} Linky Party using a beautiful stencil from return Sponsor Gina K. Designs called Stellar Snowflake. This card went in a whole different direction than I had planned but I think it turned out really pretty.

I ink blended Rustic Wilderness and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide inks over the stencil onto my white card stock. I chose green inks because I paired up the pretty stenciled background with the White Winter {paper pack} from Sponsor Unity Stamp Co. I thought it would be a fun non-traditional color for a snowflake card...  I really love how it turned out!

I die cut the stenciled layer with the largest stitched rectangle die from the Scallops & Rectangles {nesting dies} from Unity. I also die cut one of the pretty green papers from the paper pack with the largest stitched scalloped rectangle die. Before adhering my die cut layers together I adhered the banner flags to the white layer using iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from new Sponsor Therm O Web and then I trimmed the excess off the edges.

I adhered the layers to a Kraft card front and then adhered the card front to a white A2 top fold card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Wishing You Mini stamp set from Gina K Designs with Sugar Cube Pigment ink from Sponsor Taylored Expressions onto a scrap of Kraft card stock. I added some white embossing powder to the sentiment and melted it with a heat tool. I trimmed the sentiment and adhered it to the card. To finish off the card, I added a few enamel dots to the snowflake from the Cozy Flannel enamel dots from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs

My inspiration for my card design was past {BYSHC} Sketch 23 - a fun one for large stencils or stamps! I did move my sentiment for this one. If you enjoy fun sketches join us in the Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook groupWe host a fun sketch challenge each month to inspire our holiday cardmaking all year long. I love revisiting the sketches!

Before you leave, be sure to stop by Gina K Designs... lots of new holiday goodies were just released!! This adorable stamp set is included in the Gingerbread Kisses Bundle with some really cute ephemera, a fun stencil, and the adorable Gingerbread Kisses 6x6 paper pad.

Speaking of the Gingerbread Kisses 6x6 paper pad, I paired these cute papers up with the adorable penguin stamp. I used 6 different pattern papers from the paper pad for my paper layers on my card. I just love all the cute gingerbread cookies in these papers and I thought they looked so cute with the penguin holding the cookies. So fun!

Here's a quick list of the Copic markers I used to color up this cutie:

I adhered all my layers to a white A2 top fold card base using the iCraft UltraBond Adhesive from new Sponsor Therm O Web. And I popped up the sentiment and fussy cut penguin with a bunch of iCraft 3D Foam Squares, also from Therm O Web. I finished off the card with a few red enamel dots from the Red Green Mirror Foil enamel dots from Sponsor Gina Marie Designs.

My inspiration for my card design was past {BYSHC} Sketch 7 - one of my favorites! I did change up my little banner just a tad by making it wider.
