Scrapping for Less ~ June 2020 FOTM Card Kit ~ Two More Cards

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I have a couple cards to share to wrap up my inspiration for the June 2020 Flavor of the Month card kit called A Walk in the Park.

My first card using the adorable ephemera from the Picnic Time collection and the fun papers. This was such a quick card once I decided on which papers to use together.

I mat the ant picnic paper on the Gumdrop Green card stock in the kit. And mat the yellow  on a Lemon Drop card front. The ephemera is popped up with some foam squares. And to finish it off, I added a few sequins from the Banana Split subscription sequins.

My second card for today uses a few different papers from the cute On the Playground collection. I had some longer scraps of the On the Playground papers and thought they would be fun together. I adhered all of them to a lightweight white card stock that measures 4 x 5-1/4". I actually stamped the slide twice... once on the ombre blue patterned paper and again on a scrap piece of white card stock. After I colored the slide, I fussy cut it and cleaned up the edges with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I didn't fussy cut in between the steps on the slide... I actually just colored that space with a copic marker. I popped up the focal piece with foam squares and tied the green twine around the panel. I then adhered the panel to the white card base with Tombow Mono Multipurpose liquid glue. I added a few sequins to finish off this second card.

I used the following Copic markers to color this card ~ R000, R14, R27, Y000, Y06, Y15, B000.

I hope that you've liked my last share for the June 2020 FOTM card kit!! I'll be back tomorrow with inspiration for the new August 2020 Sketch Challenge for the Scrapping for Less: Show & Share Facebook group.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Christmas in July 2020 Hop ~ Graciellie Design ~ Dreaming of Christmas

Hello there crafty friend!
It's day 5 of the hop and I am on a roll... woohoo!! Today I am featuring our fifth Sponsor for the hop... Graciellie Design!! I adore Graciellie Design's digi stamps and papers, as well as her red rubber stamps and paper pads that are available at Unity. The owner, Gracie Chavez, is a wonderfully talented artist and just the sweetest gal!! I was very excited that she said yes to my invitation to Sponsor this little Hop! Be sure to drop by her shop here ---> Graciellie Design

I had a hard time deciding which digis to use for my card today... but once I saw the cup from the Coffee Lovers digi set and the poinsettia cluster from the Merry Everything digi set, it was pretty much a done deal. The dreaming of Christmas sentiment from the Dreaming Of Christmas digi set was also a done deal because I dream of days where I can enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations while drinking my coffee. I combined all the digis in a Word document and printed them off. I kept them kind of big... I wanted to make a large 5 x 7" card.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:

Cup ~ BG0000, BG000, BG01, BG23, C00, C1, C3
Poinsettias ~ R000, R01, R14, R27, R43, R46, G000, G24, G46
Pinecones ~ E23, E25, E27, E30
Holly ~ G000, G12, G24
Mistletoe ~ C00, C1, C3, G000, G12, G24, G46, G85
Berries ~ R000, R14, R27
Table ~ E51, E55

I trimmed down the main panel to 4-3/16 x 6". I knew that I wanted to use a kraft card base so all I had to figure out was my paper layer. I debated doing a glitter paper... and then I thought about black, but I didn't want to go dark so I looked through my paper pads of Christmas paper and came across the Tim Holtz Paper Stash Christmas papers and these diagonal stripes papers are perfect! I cut them to 4-1/2 x 6-1/2" and adhered my layers to my card base.

I added a bit of white gel pen to the centers of the poinsettias, the whip cream, the mistletoe, and on the sides of the cup. That finished off my card! I love it!! And I know just who will be getting it! One more done for my stash! Yay!

I hope that you'll check out our Christmas in July 2020 Hop and play along! I've enjoyed seeing all the creations being shared so far... I have all kinds of ideas for more cards. If only there was more time in the day to create! That's it for me today.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Christmas in July 2020 Hop ~ Scrapping for Less ~ A Vintage Ornamental Christmas

Hello there crafty friend!
I'm back with more Holiday inspiration for the Christmas in July 2020 Hop using some fun products from Sponsor Scrapping for Less!! I'm using the gorgeous Vintage Christmas papers along with the beautiful Ornamental Christmas stamp set!! Both of these products were included in a gorgeous Christmas card kit that released last year in November... but now they are available separately in the shop AND they are on sale, along with a bunch of other products!!

Speaking of last year's Christmas themed card kit by Scrapping for Less... I challenged myself to pull out at least one of the collections and finish off ALL of the papers in that collection and I was able to make these four cards!! I am so excited to not only have a jump on more cards for my stash, but to finish off a collection!! Mind you, I still have a bunch of collections, but you have to start somewhere, right?!

This fabulous sketch from Mojo Monday was the one that I used. Isn't it a fun sketch?!
It was perfect to use with these papers!! I did change up my fourth card because I was running low on scraps and I wanted to color the gorgeous ornament in the Ornamental Christmas stamp set. It has been a long time since I've done any no-line coloring so I gave it a go with this ornament.
Here's all the cards I created...

Here's a list of the Copics I used for the first three cards ~ BG000, BG70, BG72, R17.
Very simple coloring on these!

And here's the ornament I mentioned above... isn't it stunning?! I had fun coloring it.
Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:

Blue/Greens ~ BG70, BG72
Yellows ~ Y000, Y11, Y15, Y17, Y28
Reds ~ R000, R14, R24

The Happy Christmas sentiment is in the same stamp set. The enamel dots all came from a random sheet in my stash... I'm really not sure which brand they are, but they coordinated very nicely with these colors.

One last look at all four cards... I really love how they turned out!

As I mentioned above, Scrapping for Less is one of the Sponsors for our Christmas in July 2020 Hop. The owner, Teresa Russell, is a very dear friend of mine and I have been privileged to work with her on the design team and as an illustrator for 3 years next month!! The time has seriously flown!! We share a love of all things Christmas so I was very excited to share my hop idea with her and she was just as quick to say yes to being a Sponsor!

Now before you leave, I have another giveaway to share.
I have a brand new Ornament Christmas stamp set AND a Vintage Christmas paper pad for one lucky winner from the comments on THIS blog post!! I'll choose and announce the winner here on my blog on August 3rd.

I hope that my cards today have inspired you to pull out your Holiday products and get inky!

Hello there crafty friend!!
Today I have a fun tropical slimline card to share for the Christmas in July 2020 Hop using the adorable Tropical Santa digi set by Angie Blom Digital Designs!! I am loving all the tropical inspired images in this digi set!!

Now, this is actually a slimline panel that comes as part of the digi set so it was so easy to just click and print!! I had fun using non-traditional Christmas colors... keeping with my tropical theme.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used for this card:

Penguin ~ C00, C1, C2, YR15, YR21, YR68, Y15
Floatie ~ YR15, YR21, R32, R43, YG11, YG13, G05, Y15
Flowers ~ R12, R32, R43, YG11, YG13, G05
Candy cane ~ C00, C1, C2, YR21, R32, R43,
Background ~ B0000, B000, B00, E30, E33

I trimmed down my slimline panel to 2-7/8 x 7-7/8" and adhered it to a stitched scalloped slimline die that I die cut from kraft card stock. I then adhered the panel to a kraft card base. To finish off the card, I added a few Blushing Red Nuvo gloss drops.

Angie has been an inspiration to me for many years now... not only in her cardmaking, but in her illustrations. She inspired me to start drawing again after many years!! I hope you'll go check out her fabulous digital designs... she released some sweet Christmas designs and she's having a sale!

I hope that you're inspired to start building your stash of Holiday cards!! And don't forget to link up your cards... we would love to see what you've created!

Christmas in July 2020 Hop ~ Polka Dot Orchard ~ Merry Christmouse

Hello crafty friend!
I'm back with another Holiday card for the Christmas in July 2020 Hop... this time featuring an adorable digi set called Merry Christmouse from Polka Dot Orchard!!

Aren't they just the sweetest pair in their adorable ice skates?! I had some fun coloring up this little scene. I kept the background simple with just a light blue sky, a little snow, and of course, the ice.

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:

Mr. Mouse ~ N0, N1, N2, N4, R000, R00, R01, R11, R14, R27, R37, BG70, BG72, BG75
Miss Mouse ~ W00, W1, W2, W4, R000, R00, R01, R11, R14, R27, C00, C1
Ice ~ BG0000, BG10, BG53
Snow ~ BV20, BV23. BV31, BV60
Sky ~ B0000, B000

I wanted to use colors that coordinated with this beautiful Snowfall paper pack by Authentique. I did end up throwing in some pink for little Miss Mouse... she just needed it! The gorgeous hand-dyed crinkle ribbon is also from Polka Dot Orchard!! I love this ribbon! All my layers are adhered to a white card base and the main panel and sentiment are both popped up with foam tape.

Christmas in July 2020 Hop

Hello there crafty friend!!!
I am so excited for the first EVER Build Your Stash Holiday Hop... our Christmas in July 2020 Hop!! Woohoo!! I hope you all are excited too!

I hope to share Holiday inspiration either here or on my Instagram throughout the entire hop... fingers crossed that life doesn't get in the way of the crafty fun!!

Today, I have a really fun card using two fabulous new releases from Unity Stamp Co.!!!

HA!! Isn't that just the cutest?! When I saw both of these fabulous sets... the One Scoop at a Time and Love Into Giving stamps... I just knew I HAD to put them together!!
I love how this turned out!

Here's a list of the Copic markers I used:

Snowman ~ C00, C1, C2, YR15, YR16, YR21, N0, N2, N4
Hat/Scarf ~ BG000, BG01, BG13, RV10, RV11, RV23
Cone ~ E23, E25, E27, E30

I ran the Tim Holtz Simple Snowflakes embossing folder with a piece of white card stock through my big shot. I trimmed it down to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8". I then die cut the pretty pink and turquoise Plaid Patterns Merry & Bright paper from My Favorite Things through my big shot with a stitched border die. I trimmed the ends down and adhered it to the white embossed layer and then adhered the entire panel to an A2 top-fold white card base.

I cut along the inside of the ice cream cone on both sides, just enough so that Mr. Snowman could sit inside the cone. I adhered both images together and then adhered it to the card. I trimmed the Sweet Friend sentiment from the One Scoop at a Time set and popped it up on the card. And then I had to search for a Merry Christmas sentiment and remembered this one from the Old Traditions set that I used recently... so I stamped it, trimmed it and also popped it up on the card with foam tape. It makes my heart so happy when a card comes together as I envisioned.

Unity Stamp Co. is a Sponsor of this fun Christmas in July 2020 Hop!!
I am so blessed to be a part of the design team for this fabulous company and I'm always so touched by the generosity of the owner, Angela Magnuson! I came to her with my crazy idea to start this new hop and she was quick to say yes to being a Sponsor! Thank you Angela and the team at Unity!!

Now, don't leave just yet!
I have my very own little giveaway to share. I have a little Christmas bundle of Unity products that I'll be giving away to one lucky winner from the comments on THIS blog post. I'll choose and announce the winner here on my blog on August 3rd.

I hope that my card has inspired you to pull out your Holiday products and get inky! Don't forget to link up your new Holiday creations on the Build Your Stash Holiday Hop blog!!

My first card using one of the beautiful ephemera pieces along with a fun mix of papers!

A closeup picture... the papers in the collection are my favorite!! The ephemera pieces are all super cute!! Love this flamingo!

Tombow Mono Multipurpose glue
Scrapbook Adhesive Foam Squares
Stampers Select White card stock (card base)

The papers in the third collection are a very close favorite to the first collection... lots of blues and greenish blues!! My favorite colors!! I wanted to use them all on this card! Scrapping for Less ~ July 2020 Flavor of the Month Card Kit ~ Sneak Peek

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing one last look at the beautiful new July 2020 Flavor of the Month card kit called In the Tropics!! This kit is full of all things summer... it's absolutely beautiful!!

I used Collection Four for my sneak peek for today! This silhouette palm tree just screamed for some fun ink blending to make a little scene! I pulled colors from the papers that I chose from the collection to ink blend in the scene: Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide inks.

To finish off this pretty simple card, I added a couple of the flowers from the collection along with a sequin for the center. I think it turned out lovely! Be sure to sign up for your card kit, if you haven't already! You are not going to want to miss out on this one!! And don't forget to come back for the reveal and hop tonight at midnight EDT!!

Unity Stamp Co. ~ July 2020 Whit Kit ~ Friends Are Like Flowers

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing two quick card using the beautiful July 2020 Whit Kit called Friends Are Like Flowers!! I wanted to keep a simple color scheme for both cards... kind of monochromatic except for the touch of green on the leaves (and blue water for the first card).

I used the following Copic markers for this card:

Flowers ~ R000, R11, R14, R27, R37, Y11, Y13, Y38
Vase ~ B0000, B000, C00, C1, C2
Leaves ~ YG11, G12

Flowers are like friends; they bring color to your world.
Such a fitting sentiment!! I love the distressed looks to the sentiments in the kit too!

The second card is really more monochromatic with all the blues. I kept the colors on the flowers soft, but it still looks lovely with the blues in the patterned papers. I used the following Copic markers for this card:

Flowers ~ B0000, B000, B00, B02, Y11, Y13, Y38
Vase ~ B0000, B000, C00, C1, C2
Leaves ~ YG11, G12

You can still love yourself and be a work in progress.
How fabulous is that sentiment?! I love it!!

And a quick picture of both cards together. I didn't make a video this time for the coloring of the flowers. I wish I had thought to do so... but I do have a video showing some of the products I used to create these cards and the assembling of both cards. You can check that out below.
