Here's a quick look at the February 2020 It's All About the Girls card kit...

I am so excited about this kit!! I am really loving all of the girly elements and I've had so much fun creating cards to share with you all... let's not waste any more time and get to the cards!!

Collection One: Be-You-tiful
Isn't she stunning?! I love this stamp! I used this collection for my sneak peek yesterday... if you missed that you can check it out here ---> It's All About the Girls Card Kit sneak peek!! For this card I started by trimming all of my layers of patterned papers and adhered them to a Pink Lemonade card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I used one of the fabulous sketches that you can check out here... February 2020 Sketch Sheet... and you can even download and save them, so handy!! I adhered the card front to a white card base and then inked up this pretty lady. I masked the lips and stamped the image with black ink. I then inked up the lips with a light pink ink and stamped it. I die cut the image with a stitched square die and mat it on Pink Lemonade card stock. I stamped the sentiment on white card stock and die cut it with a banner die. I popped up the main image and the sentiment with foam squares and adhered them to the card. I added the gold heart sticker from the Me & My Big Ideas Sentiment Stickers included in the collection.

Supplies used (not found in the kit):
VersaFine Onyx Black ink
Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush ink
Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
Taylored Expressions Stitched Square Stacklets
Lawn Fawn Everday Sentiment Banners dies

Collection Two: Birthday Queen
I love this big sentiment!! So many possibilities with this set! I trimmed and adhered all of my patterned paper layers to a Nightshift Blue card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". The papers in this collection are so beautiful!! I love the gold accents... so I decided I'd use gold embossing powder for the sentiment! I popped up the sentiment and to finish this one off, I cut a few of the gold rhinestones off of the mesh and adhered them randomly around the sentiment.

Supplies used (not found in the kit):
VersaMark Watermark ink
Stampin' Up! Gold Glory embossing powder
Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
Xyron Creatopia Shapez Frame 2 die

Collection Three: Glass Slippers
I am always so honored when Teresa asks me to illustrate for the card kits and this time I got to design these beautiful glass slippers. I love how they turned out!! So fun to make them 'glass' by stamping them on vellum!! I stamped the glass slippers onto vellum card stock with VersaMark watermark ink and heat embossed an ultra fine white embossing powder. I fussy cut them out and added a bit of shadow to the back of the image with a blue prismacolor pencil. In person, it's much more subtle... the photo makes it look much darker. I set the glass slippers aside and cut my layers of patterned papers adhering them to a white card base. The papers in this collection are my absolute favorite!! Love them!! I popped up the main panel with foam squares and adhered the ephemera pieces. My final touch was a few of the enamel dots! This just may be my favorite card from this kit so far!

Supplies used (not found in the kit):
VersaMark Watermark ink
Brutus Monroe Alabaster White embossing powder
Prismacolor Premier Colored pencil - Violet Blue PC933
Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
PLUS Vellum Glue tape
Taylored Expressions Stitched Square Stacklets

Collection Four: Tea Party
This collection is so adorable!! The papers are so sweet with pretty colors and the Tea-rrific stamp set by Sunny Studio Stamps is perfect!! I used the fun My Favorite Things sketch included in the February 2020 Sketch sheet... mostly because I have the dies used in the sketch! Using the dies sure made this card easy... but this sketch can totally be created without the dies. I thought it would be fun to paper piece the tea pot. It's been so long since I've paper pieced!! I also thought it would be a fun to jazz up the little organdy bag included in the collection. I adhered one of the wood icons to the organdy bag with Multi Medium Matte. I also added a white scalloped circle to the inside of the organdy bag so the adhesive would have something to adhered to. I die cut a scalloped circle from  Banana Split card stock and adhered the fussy cut teapot that I colored up with Copic markers. I think this will be a sweet little gift to send off to my tea-rrific sister!!

Supplies used (not found in the kit):
Copic markers ~ BV0000, BV01, BV11, R81, R83, R85, G24, N0, N2
Memento Tuxedo Black ink
Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue
Ranger Multi Medium Matte
My Favorite Things Blueprints 14 die
Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Circles Large die

I sure hope you've enjoyed my cards today!

Scrapping for Less ~ February 2020 Flavor of the Month Card Kit ~ Sneak Peek

Hello there crafty friend!
Today, I'm sharing the last sneak peek of the February 2020 Flavor of the Month card kit called It's All About the Girls!! Oh my goodness... I was so excited to see this beautiful face stamp when I received my card kit!! I couldn't wait to ink her up and color!!

When I was looking through the papers in the first collection, I had the idea for this card form in my mind. I trimmed the striped layer of paper down to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and ran the rose paper through my big shot with a stitched rectangle die. I adhered the papers together and then wrapped the wide black ribbon around and tied a faux bow... it's actually just a knot and I trimmed the tails to make it look like a bow. Now, I will mention that the black ribbon is from my stash and not included in the collection. I couldn't resist... the design called for it! Anywho, I stamped the beautiful image onto white card stock with Memento Tuxedo black ink (masking the lips) and then I stamped the lips with a light pink dye ink. I then colored the image with the following copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Hair ~ B41, C3, C5, C7, C9
Lips ~ R81, R83, R85, RV29

I wanted to take the shine on her lips just one more step so I added some glossy accents... Wow! It really made a difference! I love how it turned out! I die cut another piece of white card stock with the Frilly Lace Nested Rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs. I trimmed down the colored image to fit on the die cut piece, fussy cutting around the top of the face and hair and then I adhered it down.

I popped up the main panel with foam squares. To finish off the card, I added a few of the enamel dots included in the collection and then added the sentiment sticker, also included in the collection.

I'm so happy with how this card turned out! I hope you like it too! I hope that you have subscribed to receive this beautiful kit!! If not, you can here ---> February 2020 It's All About the Girls card kit!!

Be sure to come back tonight at midnight EST to check out the reveal of the card kit and to hop with us as the design team shares all kinds of fabulous inspiration!!

Unity Stamp Company ~ A Girl. A Bunny ~ Happy Easter Day!

Hello there crafty friend!
Today, I wanted to share a darling card using the sweet A Girl. A Bunny kit by Unity Stamp Company that was just recently released and still on sale!! If you haven't checked out the latest release, go check it out!! So many sweet stamps and even a couple of fabulous new stencils!

I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to take this card... but when I saw the Glamour Paper by Authentique in my stash it hit me! These beautiful papers totally inspired my card. I die cut the polka dot and rose paper with the Frilly Lace Nested Rectangle die by Gina Marie Designs. I cut a slightly smaller piece of black card stock and adhered it behind the polka dot and rose paper. I then adhered the whole thing to a white card base. I trimmed down the blue paper, mat it with black card stock and adhered it to the card. I then die cut the sentiment with a circle die and adhered it to a black mat. I die cut a piece of the black patterned paper from the same paper pack with a banner die.

I set those pieces aside and colored up this sweet image with the following copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Hair ~ E21, E23, E25, E27
Clothes/Accessories ~ BG000, BG01, BG11, BG34, C00, C1
Bunny ~ C00, C1, C3, R00, R20

I die cut the sweet girl and bunny image with an oval die and popped it up on the card with foam squares. I adhered the black banner die cut piece using a few skinny strips of card stock for the bottom portion of the banner... stacking them so it sat level with the blue paper layer. I then adhered the banner piece with liquid glue. I popped up the sentiment with foam squares and debated adding some ribbon or maybe a bow, but decided I liked the card as is. Hope you like it too!

Go check out the new releases at Unity!! The sale ends tomorrow!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Hello there crafty friend!
Today, I have a sweet card *pun intended* using the adorable Fine and Dandy Cotton Candy digi set!! I am loving this cotton candy image with this fabulous Happy Birthday Sugar sentiment... so fun!

I thought this cotton candy would look so sweet in rainbow so I grabbed my Rainbow Vibes paper pack from Unity Stamp Company and trimmed the striped paper down to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I adhered it to a white card base and set it aside. I resized and combined the Cotton Candy and Happy Birthday Sugar sentiment in a Word document and printed it off.

I colored the Cotton Candy and sentiment with the following copic markers:

Pinks ~ RV0000, RV00, RV52

Purples ~ BV0000, BV11, V09
Mouth ~ C00, C1

I kept the design very simple. I just trimmed down the panel and mat it with black card stock. I then popped it up on the card base... done! I really like how this one turned out! I hope you do too!

Hello there crafty friends!
I am so excited to be a part of the Love & Friendship Inspiration Blog Hop with the Polka Dot Orchard Creative Team. We have lots of fabulous inspiration to share with you using all of the newly released digi stamps... let's get to it so you can keep on hopping!

My first card features the sweet Lollipop Love digi set. I  resized and combined the lollipop image with the sentiment in a Word document and printed it off. I picked the pretty French Kiss papers by Doodlebug Design and pulled the colors from the papers to use in my coloring. I used the following copic markers:

Heart Lollipop ~ RV10, RV13, RV14, C00, C3
Purple Lollipop ~ R000, R14, R29, V09, BV04, BV11, C00, C3
Red Lollipop ~ R000, R14, R29, C00, C3
Outline ~ B0000, B00

I die cut the heart papers with a wonky stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a Spring Rain card base. I trimmed down the main image and adhered it to the card. Pretty cute and I love that sentiment!

My second card features the pretty Love and a Fabulous Cupcake digi set. Again, I resized and combined the image with the sentiment in a Word document and then printed it off. This time I dug through all of my Valentine's papers and picked this pretty polka dot paper from an old Stampin' Up paper pad called Stacked with Love. I trimmed it down and adhered it to a white card base. I used the following copic markers to color up this cute cupcake:

Icing/Cherry ~ C00, C1, C3, R000, R14, R29
Cupcake Wrapper ~  RV0000, RV00, RV52, R000, R14, R29, E24, E47
Ground ~ N0, N1, N2

I trimmed down the panel and mat it on Real Red card stock. I then popped it up on the card using foam tape. I'm thinking I'll give this to my husband for our wedding anniversary with a couple of fabulous cupcakes... one for him and one for me!

My last card features the adorable My Pal-entine digi set. I resized the image and sentiment, but this time I kept them on separate sections of the Word document. I printed off the sheet and got to coloring up these cute pals with the following copic markers:

Penguin ~ YR15, YR21, YR68, N0, N1, N2, N4, N5
Bear ~ E23, E25, E47, N0, N1, N2, N4, N5, RV0000, RV00, RV52
Balloon ~ R000, R14, R29
Outline ~ B0000, B00

I die cut the image with a wonky stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" piece of red and white diagonal striped paper from Unity Stamp Company called Love is All Around Us. I adhered the entire panel to a white card base and then popped up the trimmed sentiment. Sweet!

That's it for me... be sure to keep hopping and check out all the fabulous inspiration from the Polka Dot Orchard Creative Team and don't forget to comment for your chance to win!!

Scrapping for Less ~ Sunny Studio Stamps ~ Spring Showers

Hello there crafty friend!
Today, I'm sharing a sweet card to brighten your day! I have had so much fun playing with the Spring Showers stamp set from Sunny Studio Stamps! I just had to pair it up one more time with the Spring Fling papers, but this time I also wanted to share the wonderful Fluffy Clouds Border dies!

This card design came together quickly using border dies and the pretty grass patterned papers in the Spring Fling paper pack! I die cut the clouds from white card stock and adhered them to the top portion of a piece of blue card stock measuring 4-1/8 x 5-3/8". I then adhered the die cut grassy hills to the bottom portion of the card. I set that aside and inked up the cute little boy stamp and the kite with Memento Tuxedo black ink.

I colored the stamped images with the following copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E11
Hair ~ E55, E59
Clothes ~ N0, N1, N5, R000, R14, B91, B95, B97
Kite ~ R000, R14, Y000, Y06

I fussy cut the colored images leaving a little border... giving the images a little more dimension on the card. I adhered the kite to the card and then popped up the boy and sentiment with foam squares. I adhered the entire panel onto a white A2 card base. I love how this turned out! I hope you do too!

Unity Stamp Company ~ Hailey's Puppy Mini

Hello there crafty friend!
I have a quick and sweet CAS card today to share with you using one of the cutest stamps... a new release at Unity called Hailey's Puppy Mini!! I just adore this sweet little puppy!

To start, I die cut a thin piece of white card stock with a heart die to use as my mask over the brand new Heart Confetti stencil ~ just released too! I am loving this stencil!! I blended some Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink over the masked stencil until I was happy with the blend. I then trimmed the Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor paper to 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" and adhered it to a kraft card front measuring 4-1/4 x 5-1/2". I then adhered the panel to a white card base.

I die cut a smaller stitched heart using the same Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables by Lawn Fawn from Real Red card stock. I adhered that to the card and colored up the adorable puppy. I kept the coloring simple using the following copic markers ~ N0, N1, N3, R000, R14, E41, E43, C00, C1. I fussy cut the puppy leaving a bit of a border and then trimmed down the sentiment and adhered that to a kraft mat. I popped up the puppy and the sentiment on the card with foam tape. Too cute!
I just love how this turned out! I hope you like it too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Scrapping for Less ~ Sunny Studio Stamps ~ Brighten My Day

Hello there crafty friend!
Today, I'm sharing a couple of sweet cards using the adorable Spring Showers stamp set along with the Spring Fling papers, both from Sunny Studio Stamps and available in the SFL shop!

I went a little crazy with all the layers of cute papers from the Spring Fling paper pack... but how could I not?! These papers are too cute!!

This fun sketch is the current Mojo Monday sketch over at the Poetic Artistry blog. I love to check out the sketch blogs for inspiration and I'm entering my first card in this fun challenge!

I stamped the sweet girl holding the flower from the Spring Showers stamp set with Memento Tuxedo black ink on white card stock and then again on a post it note to mask my image. I blended a little Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks over the masked image. You may notice that the color seems a little smudged... that's because I forgot to heat set the black ink. I still make mistakes after twenty plus years of cardmaking... lol! Anywho, it still looks okay so I removed the mask and colored the image with the following copic markers:

Skin ~ E000, E00, E21
Hair ~ Y21, YR12, YR14
Clothes ~ BV0000, BV01
Hair Clip/Flower ~ R81, R85, Y06, Y15

I adhered all the layers together, wrapping the cluster of layers with a little white baker's twine. I then adhered the layers to the purple flower layer that I had adhered to a white card base. I popped up the main image and the sentiment with some foam squares to finish off this card. I think it turned out pretty cute... what do you think?

While I was playing with the papers and stamps making the first card, I had a fun idea for this second card. I had run across this sketch on the CAS(E) this Sketch blog and thought it would be cute to feature this adorable little girl playing in the rain. I stamped the girl and umbrella with Memento Tuxedo black ink and then colored them in with the following copic markers:

Skin/Mouth ~ E000, E00, E21, R14, N4
Hair ~ E35, E37
Clothes ~ C00, C1, R81, R83, R85
Umbrella ~ R81, R83, R85, BV0000, BV01

I created the background by stamping the Rain Showers stamp twice on a piece of white card stock with VersaMark watermark ink and then I heat embossed an ultra fine clear embossing powder. I then blended the Tumbled Glass and Mowed Lawn Oxide inks to create my sky and ground. I die cut the background with a circle die and then mat it with a scalloped circle that I had die cut from another piece of white card stock.

I couldn't find quite the right blue card stock for my card base so I cut one of the papers from the Spring Fling paper pack. Even though it's mostly covered by the next layer of papers... I wanted that blue layer to help it all pop. I then adhered the three strips of patterned paper to a white piece of card stock measuring 4-1/8 x 5-3/8". I adhered that layer to the card and then popped up the main image with foam squares. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card stock and then mat it on the same blue patterned paper I used on the base. To finish off the card, I added a few Sea Breeze Jewel drops... I like the translucent look to these drops.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
See ya next time.

Crystal

Polka Dot Orchard ~ Ocean Cuties {Winter Narwhal} ~ Warm Any Heart

Hello there crafty friend!
I am loving all of the sweet new releases at Polka Dot Orchard! Have you seen them? 20 new digi sets and they're all on sale!! Woot woot! I love a great sale!

I just couldn't wait to color this adorable narwhal from the Ocean Cuties {Winter Narwhal} digi set. How sweet is he just sitting on the ice drinking a cup of coffee. Too cute! I combined the narwhal image with the sentiment in a Word document (along with some other new releases that I'll be sharing soon!) and print off the sheet. I trimmed it down to an A2 card front size measuring 5-1/2 x 4-1/4".

I then colored the image and background with the following copic markers:

Narwhal ~ BV0000, BV20, BV23, C00, C1, C3
Eyes ~ BV000, BV11, BV17
Scarf/Ear Muffs ~ RV10, RV13, RV14, B00, BG01
Cup ~ RV10, RV13, RV14, B00, BG01, E21, E23, E27, N0, N1
Background ~ BG000, BG01, BV0000, V0000, C00, C1, C3

I kept the card simple since the image and the sentiment were already together on the card front. I trimmed it down to 5-1/4 x 4" and mat it on a 5-3/8 x 4-1/8" piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock and then mat it again on an A2 card front of Raspberry Fizz card stock. I adhered the entire panel to a white card base and called this card done! A cute card to send to a friend to let her know I'm thinking about her. If you're loving this sweet digi stamp be sure to head over to the Polka Dot Orchard website and check out the fabulous sale on all the wonderful new releases at Polka Dot Orchard!

Scrapping for Less ~ Sunny Studio Stamps ~ Showering You With Love!

Hello there crafty friend!
Today I'm sharing a quick but cute card using some fun products from Sunny Studio Stamps. I fell in love with this rainbow polka dot hearts paper from the Spring Fling paper pack, so I just had to use it for my card today!

In my mind, the clouds are literally showering hearts... I just love how quick this fun card came together! I stamped the clouds from the adorable Spring Showers stamp set with Memento Tuxedo black ink in my Stamp Platform so I'd get a beautiful crisp stamped image.

I then colored the clouds very simply with BV0000, BV01, and the Colorless Blender copic markers. I fussy cut the clouds and set them aside. I trimmed my patterned paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" and then lined up my stitched rectangle die in the center securing it with some purple tape. I ran it through my Big Shot and then mat the rainbow polka dot hearts paper on a 3-3/8 x 4-5/8" piece of white card stock. I was going to adhere that layer back onto the rainbow polka dot hearts paper, but when I flipped it over I saw the ombre rainbow paper side and decided to use this side.

I adhered the papers to the card using a liquid glue and then stamped the sentiment. I used a smaller rectangle die to die cut the sentiment and then trimmed off the extra from the left side. I adhered the sentiment to the card and then adhered the clouds.

I just love how sweet this card turned out and it was really so quick to make!!
Be sure to stop by the SFL shop and see all the fabulous Sunny Studio Stamps products available... so many wonderful stamps, dies and papers!!

Thanks for stopping by! See ya next time.
